wvu mountaineers,yrs.2002-06..avg. graduation rate black/white basketball only 74%///indiana univ. same period,etc...84%....rest assured that huggins pay has clause to increase or decrease salary using this bench mark...wvu president is very concerned about graduation (touchdowndog)
For the sake of this discussion, assume that is true...about the graduation rate clause...and then see if that doesn't raise some serious questions about the logic being used both in the Mountain State and in Bloomington, IN.
Why in Sam Hill would any school concerned about the graduation rate of athletes hire Bob Huggins? Makes no sense.
IU prides itself (well, at least many long time fans do (I've been an IU fan since before Lou Watson was coach!)on running an honest program, about sixty years since any serious violations and sanctions. So, why in Sam Hill would IU hire Kelvin Sampson to head up it's program? Makes no sense.
coach huggins wasn't held to higher standards at cinti(although the standards were in place) no enforcement.then new president came to enforce the rules, and as a result huggins had to leave. after a rejection by wvu several years before for head coach. coach huggins decided to evaluate his standards and begin new life..rest assured if huggy bear steps across the line, the bob knight act won't fly.
