CHARLOTTE 87, ST. BONAVENTURE 83: Goldwire nets career-high 39 points

I was a little frustrated with myself Charlotte coach Bobby Lutz sent a strong message Saturday to those who might doubt what guard Leemire Goldwire means to the 49ers. 'He gets blasted by some of our idiot fans for taking (bad) shots,' said Lutz, after Goldwire's career-high 39 points led the 49ers (14-8, 5-3 A-10) past St. Bonaventure in an Atlantic 10 game at the Reilly Center. 'Well, they should have been here tonight. If they want to question him, they can question me. 'I'm the guy who wants him to have the ball.' Goldwire is a long-range shooting specialist whose recent two-game slump coincided with a pair of losses to Richmond and Dayton. [UNCC Idiot Fan]

We UNCC fans may be idiots for taking time to go to UNCC games and taking time to listen to them on the Radio. But we are not idiots when we blast the UNCC program for games like Dayton where they are ahead with 5 minutes to go and both of Dayton's big men fouled out of the game and they never go back inside the rest of the game. They didn't lose the game because of bad defense at the end of the game they lost because they didn't take advantage of their advantage on the offensive end of the floor. And if the only way they can win is for Goldwire to over 30 points per game they are in real trouble. How about a balanced attach inside out basketball with good defense. It's not real complicated Bobby. Even us Idiot fans can figure it out.
