McKinzie leads Lake Howell at Basketball Showcase

The Florida Girls Basketball Showcase featured three state-ranked matchups and more than 12 hours of hoops action Saturday at Boone High.

As a concerned reader and sports fan, I was truly surprised with the lack of accuracy concerning recent Lake Howell Girls Basketball articles. Lake Howell has beaten 3 notable teams over the past 2 weeks (Winter Park, Mainland, and Dunbar); however the leading scorer in each of those games and others (Lake Gibson) has been your faceless Seminole County Player of the Year last year. Please help me to better understand how you receive and report your information. Do coaches send this information to you? Or, does the information come from other sources? It appears that certain schools/players are receiving more press than others. I hope that I am wrong. In the future, lets make sure that we are representing all students and schools fairly and accurately. Thank you!
