Well when you play in the weakest conference in the country why would nt you be there..
Uconn is where it is at in the state of ct...
Come on..Stop trying to be something you will never be..And that is big time sports...

If being big-time means having miscreants on the roster and narcissitic jerks as coaches, which is where PukeConn is at, I'm glad Central's not big time.

Here's the great thing about sports, Smitty: ignortant statements like yours can be can be refuted with the facts and statistics. The Sagarin power ratings ranks the Northeast Conference 25 out of 32 Division 1 basketball conferences in the country.(At one point in the year they were at 24.) Hardly the weakest of the lot. Our conference champion, Robert Morris University ranks ahead of more than 30 teams from the so-called "power conferences" in the Sagarin ratings.(Don't like Sagarin? Use any other you want. Same result.) Central, in a down year is ranked 222nd in the country, ahead of another 119 schools vying to be #1. Oh, that's right, Smitty. All that matters is being #1. Not the game. Not the emotional attachment to a particular team. Just the hype and excitement of being #1. And did you know that UConn got beat by more points the other night by Providence than another NEC school Sacred Heart? Probably not. But look it up. By the way, I was originally only going to second Ms C's comment,(which I agree with, wholeheartedly) but I just figured rather than just call you names (which you most assuredly deserve), the facts could speak for themselves. Learn to love the game, Smitty, not just the hype and propaganda you read in the Hartford Courant or on ESPN. It's really a wonderful sport and more than the chosen few can play it well.

Smitty-
It's funny how UConn fans have such short memories. Many of us--who are older than 12--remember a time, not so long ago, when UConn was the perennial doormat of the Big East, playing in the Field House--when playing in the NIT was the most exciting thing to hit the UConn campus since cow-tipping. Your team is not so far-removed from those rather unremarkable years. As for me, I'll support the school that I attended while also throwing my support to the other "little guys" like UHart, Quinnipiac, SHU. Sounds like you're still a little bitter about last year.
