Hope he stays in school and pursues his education, and puts this unfortunate event behind him. The marijuana laws in this country need some revision. Mr. Russell should not loose the one thing he loves most.

Yeah we really ought to lighten up on all those intoxicated drivers out there. I'm sure the family killed on Highway 1 north of Santa Cruz a few weeks ago agrees.

Is this even Santa Cruz news anymore? It happened in Fullerton not Santa Cruz. Not to mention it happened a week ago.

I have heard that Eric Van Vliet of that 2005 championship team is in jail on similar charges. I'd have to say the "Santa Cruz values" have not helped either of these young men.

Saisu....you presume alot here...that he sold to kids....most likely he was dealing to friends of college age....but the guy is still an idiot...if he gets thrown out of school because of this I hope his parents are rich because if he's convicted of a felony he will never be able to take advantage of financial aid.(Thanks to the Bush administration.)
Plus, do keep in mind that this is still America where one is presumed innocent until proven guilty. |

Sock Momkey~ Just so you know if Junior Russell loses his college scholarship he wont be going to college because that is all he had, his family isn't rich but they aren't poor.
So he made a mistake, Like non of us have ever made a mistake. Please, hopefully he learned from his mistake. Unless you know the Russell Family personally like I do please keep your rude comments to your self. |

ok, let me clarify. Any kid who is dealing drugs while on a college scholarship is dumb to risk his college education in that manner. Better?
And fyi...read the last line in my above comment. |

He sounds like another spoiled athlete. There a warrant for the arrest of Anaheim Angels infielder, Scott Spezio too. This wealthy free agent got drunk, drove his car and hit another driver resulting in a case of felony vehicular manslughter. The rest of his major leauge baseball career will be confined to ewatching the ballgames on the state prison's TVs...
