Is anyone else dazed and confused after last nights game? Why didn't Utz #60 play any defense? He made all the tackles on kick off. For the last two weeks, I watched him make tackles all over the field as a linebacker with limited playing time. If I were the coach, I would find him a place to play on defense, how about left end or move #44 to left end and play utz at linebacker? Where was #68 last night? He's another player with great ability that somehow gets overlooked. Is S.W. playing to win by using the BEST players or thinking it's more important to showcase future college prospects??? Any recruiters at last nights game saw a bunch of nothing because of politics behind the scenes....

SW fan - maybe the rain was in your eyes. Utz and Fricke both played a significant amount at linebacker last night. As they always do, they were rotating with Shaffer, Sexton, Myers, and Felton. They all played well at times but at others just couldn't contain Anderson and Baublitz' blocking. Great game - unfortunately we just came up short.

I think the rain was in your eyes, there was no rotation at linebacker last night! Just very limited substitution. I agree we came up short, most boys played their hearts out. There is only so much you can do as a player being coached by an narrow minded, stubborn, old coaching staff.

It wasn't rain in anyones eyes. It just didn't matter who was playing LB for us it't hard to make tackles when you are on your back. Maybe coaches should have been careful about what he says to the media. On a dry night we might have gotten blown out. Wing T ????

Where was all this hate for the SW coaching staff before the team lost its first game of the season? Please people, don't start to point fingers at a group of guys that have been your heroes all season long! Central has a killer squad, so nobody at SW has to point any fingers - just give credit where credit is due and congratulate both teams for one hell of a show!

And SW loses the game and immediately it is the COACH/coaching staff. Damn, you folks are unbelievable. What about THE coaching staff up to this point.

Sidenstricker gets outcoached in every big game. With the talent at SW look at his record in big games!!!! It is easy to win with superior atheletes against inferior teams and talent. This coaching staff always chokes when the talent is equal and gets outcoached. Just look at his coaching recoed!!!

Sorry to burst your bubble, don't think anyone considers Don a hero, even the players! That might be some of the problem too....

Oh, now I get it! Both the players and the parents know more about coaching than the coach himself. Just doesn't seem that way until the TEAM loses a big game.

the coaches at SW do everything they can for the kids. They prepare them with everything that the opposition is gonna do, you cant blame the coaching staff when there were plenty of opportunities for the players to win the game, with or without coaching decisions the players are the ones that need to go out there and play football, we just didn't bring it last friday.

Sorry, I refuse to believe the loss Friday night was the players fault! You need to back up and take a look at the entire picture. Go Mustangs Go!!!!
