There was a little something trying to surface concerning South Lake Carroll but nothing ever materialized. I'm orig from Freeport and lived in Ft Worth for 15 years and my whole family is now down there with homes throughout Irving, Desoto and Cedar Hill. There's some good football down there.

I'm tired of defending private schools against you people who believe they recruit. Believe what you want. I guess this post should finish with publics should not play privates for various reasons. That's fine with us, as we have nothing to prove. The rest of NYS knows of the CHSFL and now we are getting national recognition, so playing a team on LI doesn't do any thing for us, as teams like Don Bosco, Bergan Catholic and the rest of football powerhouses don't even know LI exists. The thing is, if you don't want to play the Privates, then you don't want to play anybody outside of LI. That's why most of the tri state rankings contain NJ and Conn schools. Be happy with your LI championships,as it looks like you'll never get to play in the states as you find another reason why something is not fair. OH, by the way, SA was ranked #1 in NYS this week, how's about those apples?

We played soccer out in the hinterlands of Suffolk co., Smithtown N.Y., back in the day An all boys catholic h.s. of 400-600 students Max! 1969-70 was the first year of the newly formed Nassua-Suffolk-Queens Catholic H.S. Soccer Leaque. I remember that because it was difficult for the tailors to stitch all those letters(N.S.Q.C.H.S.S.L.)Champ s onto the varsity letter A, after we had won that hard earned championship by defeating Chaminade,Christ the King,Bishop Reilly,St.Mary's, St.John the Baptist,La Salle Military etc. Large enrollment or small, don't ever underestimate the Galloping Friars.
Still a champ,N.S.Q.C.H.S.S.L.Champ, Class of 1970
