Sweet come from behind win to beat Buffalo! Who needs the Rose Bowl when you have a clash of the titans game like this!

The reason the bowl had it's highest attendance is that Buffalo is across the lake from Toronto!! Duh!
As is the case with most of your posts, you miss the point being made by the previous poster or you come back with the most "simple minded" response. Obviously you were not at the game or you would have seen that UCONN fans filled the entire lower section of the stadium from the 20 yard line to the 20 yard line on our side of the field. Despite all the negative articles leading up to the game predicting sparse attendance by UCONN supporters the truth is that our side of the stadium was louder and more involved than the Buffalo fans even though we were outnumbered.
We had a great time and came home with a victory.
So Mr. Simple Mind, you missed the point again.
By the way, SC huh? How did your teams do in their bowls?
How do they say it down there in your neck of the woods? Looks like both SC and Clemson got "ass whoopins".
Oh well, better luck next year.

Great weekend in Toronto. The city is great. Clean. Friendly people.
Easy to get around (except for that damm "PATH" underground system).
Hotels where UCONN fans were staying were terrific.
It was awesome seeing other UCONN fans out on the streets, in the restaurants and bars on Friday night and Saturday after the game.
All the "haters" who never get out of their parent's basements can never appreciate what it is to go to an event like this and be proud of your team and their victory.
Your posts here are far too predictable. A UCONN victory and you attack the opponent.
UCONN won and a bunch of us had a blast in Toronto while you were home trying to get the cookie crumbs out of your keyboard.

So Clemson losing by 5 to Nebraska is a whoopin? SC losing to an Iowa team that beat Penn State is surprising?
If UConn hadn't drawn a glorified DivII team they would have been part of a whooping themselves. Iowa or Neb. would've beaten UConn by 30 to say the least.
UConn will be the ones needing luck next year without Brown to carry them. Don't think the Huskies will have to worry about what bowl game they get next year with a 4-8 record.

UCONN won their Bowl Game. SC and Clemson did not. End of story!
Stop your "hating". You'll live longer.
Here's two more interesting facts for you to process in the giant brain of yours:
(1) UCONN has 3 players rated in the top 75 coming out of school into the NFL draft this year. How many other schools can say that?
(2) UCONN has the highest graduation rate of african-american players of all state schools won participated in bowls this year.(That's higher than your SC, Iowa, Nebraska, and Alabama, Florida, USC, OH State.....). Not bad for a bunch of "thugs" huh?
Wait a minute....these are both good positive factual stories. Come on, as a member in good standing of the "UCONN Haters" club you must have a retort.

1st of all genius I don't hate the UConn football team. I just don't see the big deal in beating a team that if 95% of the bowl teams played them the result would be the same. UConn's lucky it was Buffalo or they would have been dead in the 1st half.
On your other points I know of Butler and Brown. Who's the 3rd? I wish Brown all the luck in the world and hope he stays healthy after being overworked and punished by Edsel. Where are you getting these "facts"?
I see at About football.com that Butler and Brown are listed - they break it down by position. I also see 14 other schools that have more players ranked including USC,Fla, Ohio St, Ala and yes SC. Even Pitt (who crushed UConn if I remember right) has 2 players in the rankings.
You can't seriously think UConn puts out the same quality players as these schools. If so double up on the meds.

On the 2nd point - who cares. What does that have to do with the story? I don't recall calling them "thugs".
You're living in a dream world if you think this program's going anywhere - end of story.

Great to see that you are so resourceful to check one whole website. If you had basic mental capacity you would have looked up the more well known college football ranking sites which clearly show Donald Brown, Darius Butler and Cody Brown as top 75 players on the board on draft day. Will Beatty is also shown as a mid round draft pick.
So, bad news for you...more success for UCONN.
Sad to see that you chose to downplay the academic accomplishments at UCONN.
To most real fans of the program that is as important as on field performance. But to simple minded folks like you it is all too predictable: anything that is positive about UCONN is to be downplayed, ignored, or attacked.
Few posters are more transparent than you. Keep on "hatin'".

Glad to see you can see right through me. Like I said the article has nothing to do with academics. It has to do with the game on the field. Enjoy your sub-.500 record, for the next few years anyway. The Big East is a lame football conference anyway. It doesn't even deserve a spot in a BCS bowl game. Lucky the basketball program is a success cause the football program is DivII at best.

You are all immature and stupid. You all need to get a life. Particularly "UCONN in the Valley". Is that the Naugatuck Valley the garden spot of Connecticut?

Yes, UCONN in the Valley is in CT. Which means unlike SC, we had a team "win" a bowl game this year, we have high academic performance recognized in our student athletes, and our children in school do not read text books that say "some day man may walk on the moon".
Keep on believing "The South will rise again".

My question was if that clown who addresses himself as "UCONN in the Valley" resides in the Naugatuck Valley, which is one of the garden spots in Connecticut. Where did you receive your education? As it appears that you have difficulty in reading comprehension. Permit me to reaffirm that you all need to get a life. Thanks and farewell.

"Thanks and farewell"? All you left out was "Mission accomplished" and you could have 100% sounded like George W in his last press conference today. Come to think of it; your posts make about as much sense as his fractured english!

Speaking of "fractured english". How about your reply "and you could have 100% sounded like". Are you a UCONN graduate?

Being from SC I realize it is hard for you to understand a sentence that does not contain "reckin'", "y'all", or "I'll tell you what....";
but my grammar is correct Genius.
Noun, verb, adverb and adjective included. Maybe that was not covered
in "readin', writin', and rithmetik" class where you come from!

My friend you are so pathetic! You don't have a clue about me as to where I come from or where I live yet you make such profound and unreasonable remarks about me. It really is quite amusing. For your information a good teacher would give you a rather poor grade on your sentence structure and certainly your reading comprehension. Also for your information I was not educated in South Carolina. One thing I must say about the people living here in South Carolina, is that they are most polite, respectful and hard working. Something I truly miss when return to Connecticut for the warmer months.

Oh come on now, you just gave up your best and last defense for all those previous nonsensical, foolish, silly posts of yours---that you were not educated in SC!
With that in mind it was almost understandable how you could churn out so much pablum with nothing to back it up.
Now that you tell us that you are not a product of SC it is hard to understand how the simple concept of "stating a premise, develop factual arguments to support the premise, and coming to a logical conclusion" have escaped you.
I had that picture in my mind of the Deputy in the "Smokey and the Bandit" movie in my mind whenever I saw your posts. I'll look you up when I come to MB to play golf 2 - 3X's per year.
