i honestly think the 3-3-5 formation isnt cutting it. If u look at the past we fared better with the 4-3 alignment. If this continues I say we need to revamp the whole defense. Get a def. coordinator and a whole new alignment. Someone earlier said the 3-3-5 worked in UNM and its not working for UTEP I agree. Just like the 3-4 u need big interior lineman and big linebackers, the 3-3-5 calls for the same and Utep doesnt have that. I think if we can make adjustments to the defense that should be most helpful, we can always have our offense running but it defense that wins ball games

Unbelievable that Utep cannot beat a team from the MAC. What makes anyone who uses 1% of their brain to think that Utep will win CUSA and go bowling. It is obvious Coach Price is not a great coach. Sure he came into El Paso and immediately took Utep bowling but remember that most of those players were Coach Nords recruits.

These past 2 seasons are all Coach Prices recruits and they can't win CUSA nor go bowling. Sure it's great when Utep scores a bunch of points and we all having something to cheer about but when the clock ticks to the final second we take a glimpse at the scoreboard and notice that Utep lost!!!!

Every season Utep gets the entire city all reved up for the upcoming season and to purchase season tickets. All for what? Support of the University? What about support from Utep to win CUSA and go bowling to fulfill the city's need for a great collegiate football team and to stop being the laughing stock of the college football world?

FYI I had emailed www.epgridiron.com . They only cover high school football here in El Paso. I requested that they put up a Utep football page on their website since it's called EP Gridiron. They emailed me back stating that Utep is not ready for EP Gridiron. I was like who do these guys think they are and WTF did they mean by that. Well after last nights loss to Buffalo I now know what they meant by their remark

'Utep is not ready for EP Gridiron.' No shhht

Look as a city lets just make up our
minds are we going to have a competitive
d1 school or not one person posted that
boise state is excelling as a d1 school
and there are a lot of other schools that just starting playing d1 and are better than established d1 utep. Pour a ton of money into
the program or just drop the program no one would really miss it and utep hasnt won a bowl in 42 yrs. Give utep 160 mil and the victories will come ok state beat georgia yesterday

UTEP coaches - "wow - that was a tough bunch - as good-a QB as we will probably see all year; and that RB - he is All American quality - they really have some great players; as good of a team as we might face this year. And quick/fast - and so well disciplined; they will probably win their conference."
Buffalo coaches - "it was a great scrimmage for us - we learned a lot about our team - it's just to bad we had to travel so far - but we were tired of practicing against ourselves, so yes, it was a real good scrimmage for us."
One other probable UTEP coaches comment:

"But overall I thought our team played very well tonight; a few minor mistakes; we fought hard but in the end we just didn't finish it off. They came in here and just took it to us. You gotta give Buffalo credit."

And Obama promised us hope and change. Is it to late for stimulus and a bailout plan?

Can we get a 'cash-for-players' program? Maybe we can trade for new ones.

UTEP got beat by a much better team, the fact that they kept it close is impressive. Buffalo is no pushover......Texas will be same story, another loss for the Miners.....and no it will not be close.....Horns by 40.
If Buffalo is a much better team than UTEP than UTEP must be at or near the bottom.

Trevor has deer in the head lights eyes, he was running around like a QB trying not to get hurt, I know this as fact ( team mates twitter during the game) but Aaron Price is sold on Trevor deer-in the-head-lights-toe, overthrow-toe what ever his name is. UTEP has a freshman QB with ice water in his veins. The freshman played an complete (no brace) season with a torn ACL and was still named player of the year. 6'2" 210lbs and a cannon for a arm and he runs a 4.4 forty time. He is a natural athlete and should be playing look him up he is the one freshman mentioned in fantasy alerts and bloomquist articles as a greyshirt then you decide.

Let's Just say BUFFALO OWNS UTEP. C-USA Sucks, MAC all the way baby!! You all better recognize. Any team in the MAC will wax any team in C_USA. The Bulls are no "cup cake" team! UTEP fans are a bunch of sore losers, If you don't want to keep getting your Arses kicked, don't put us (BUFFALO) on your schedule. Take on the the teams in Mexico, maybe your team can squeeze one out.

Wow Luis, life must suck for you to come on a UTEP blog and post all that crrap! ESPECIALLY since you are from San Antonio. Go jump in the Riverwalk with a concrete block around your ankle.

You know what, I'm from Buffalo, went to UB and currently in the military stationed here in San Antonio. I'm not from San Antonio. I didn't "come to a UTEP blog" I went to a site posted in Sports Illustrated under University of Buffalo. Life doesn't suck for me, it's great seeing my college team beating up on your sorry ass team two years straight. It's sad, I know for you not to be able to stomach the truth. BUFFALO currently OWNS UTEP!
PS. The correct spelling of my name is LOUIS not the spanish version LUIS! No peace, no Justice!!

Oh and Justice, for your information, the river walk is only 3 feet deep, for you jumping off into the river walk with a concrete block might work. It does nothing for me. Why don't you try taking a trip across that crime and drug infested border and see if you make it back alive.
