The money will be there if he goes this year or next year. There may not be an NBA season next year anyway if you have been watching the news. If that is the case, he will lose a year of improving his skills. He could then go back to OSU and work towards his degree, but mom and dad would have to help pay tuition. Right now he is having fun going to school and learning the game to improve himself. Once you go pro, you are working 8 hours or more everyday. It is a job.

You obviously aren't very smart yourself. The NBA is looking to get back $800 million dollars from the players........that means either teams are folded or the players give back a lot of money so there is a very good chance there won't be any NBA next season. But more importantly is that he isn't ready for the NBA, he is a great college player and I think it's awesome he has won the awards he has. In the NBA though he would play the 4 or 5 and if you watch the NBA at all the guys who play the 4 and 5 are bigger, faster, quicker and can jump a whole lot higher. Guys will play behind him and he will have a very difficult time getting his shot off. He is extremely smart and a great passer and shoots well at the free throw line but he would also have a hard time guarding some of the very quick and explosive 4's in the NBA.

I noticed ESPN wore this out as if they're waiting on Jared to "lie" because how dare someone actualy be ENJOYING college!!! I feel sorry for some of these egomaniac aths with fam and friends living off "their" hopes and dreams. Now I understand why Duke recruits kids who want to "graduate" so he can buld the chemistry of the team!

Congrats Jared!!! You look handsome and sleepy not dumb (so much jealousy) hahahahaha

Sonce it's clear you dont understand, or are not aware of the labor issues in the NBA, as well as Jared's desire to get better and actually HAVE a career in the NBA (unlike BJ Mullens and Kosta Koufos), it seems to me YOU are the dumb one.

Plus the fact is, he enjoys college and wants to stay..Once you are gone you are gone and theres no going back.

Life isn't just all about money.

Jared Sullinger should go pro this year. Why should he stay and let Matta and Smith make millions while he risks injury playing for nothing.

If injured he could end up working at a rec center for $10 an hour. Just look around.

Jared should protect his family and himself and declare for the NBA daraft. Remember winning the NCAA tournament is a long shot even if you have the best team otherwise why would only 2 individuals out of 5 million pick the participants of the final four.

Winning the NCAA is almost impossible....For Ohio State it has been 51 YEARS of impossible....and with the way Buford and Craft shoot next season is a big time long shot. What Sullinger returning means is another 30 wins...another Big ten championship...Another top 10 ranking all during the regular season...Another very high seed in the NCAA Tourney...Looking back on 2011 it is really too bad that Deshaun Thomas was not as advertised...he was the 13th ranked player in the nation and I thought he was basically as good as Sullinger...instead he is a nothing bench warmer...If Thomas could have been relied upon to contribute 8 points per game come Tourney time then OSU might have won the NC this season.

I'm sure you are not dumber than you look. That would not be possible.
