Gary will never leave. He is Coach for life. Or until he says he is done. He cannot be fired, unless he breaks some major rules, or somehow gets in trouble.

Who would replace him?

I just wish gary willaims would obsess about what Duke did and mention that he's won a national championship every once in a while. He never brings that up...

This is an average or below average program when 3 out of 6 seasons is the NIT.

Gary could be replaced with any other average coach to acheive average results.

Nothing special.

this is a coach who could not take advantage of winning a national championship as far as recruiting is concerned he couldnt get Michael Beasley a local product who plays for K State and he also couldnt get Kevin Durant who now plays for the Sonics and he was a local product

Well make that 5 teams Gary. The team is 6-5 and you have coasted since the NC in regards to recruiting. As a result GT3 has cleaned your clock. Summers, Freeman and Wright are all kids who wanted to come to MD, but you were too busy playing golf to show them any interest. MD is a top 10 coaching job. It is my opinion that the Terps need to bring in someone who has a passion for recruiting. Gary Williams is still living off of the NC. The honeymoon is over Gary.
