Everybody deserves a second chance. I hope he makes good in the NFL for both him and his family.

Where there's smoke, there's fire. We have not seen the last temper flare-up from Blount. Classic case of roid-rage or worse, just an unstable guy.

I wouldn't touch him with a ten-foot-pole. Watch and see who drafts him. Best bets? Raiders, Bengals.

U-Tube his outburst. It's pretty bad.

This guy is an arrogant a-hole. Aside from him punching the kid, nothing has been said about his attempt to climb into the stands and go after a fan. I think that action was worse than the punch. I wouldn't give him a chance if I was a GM in the NFL, other than being a tackling dummy for practice.

I agree, the punch was the least of his actions that worried me that night. However, it was all ONE incident. As a Browns fan, I personally wouldn't like to see him on the team. People make mistakes, everyone is human, and I hope for him that was the worst night of his life and he is able to become a productive back in the NFL

I don't think he was trying to get in the stands, it looked like he was trying to get a mouthy fan to meet him on the field. Still not good, but it's not the same. Also, a lot of people seem to think the Boise State player kind of deserved a punch in the mouth after his post game trash talking.

I still think Blount was wrong, but he served his time. He deserves a second chance.

At least Oregon put the screws to him. Remember when Jim Tressel refused to go above and beyond the Big 10's punishment of Rob "Wife Beater" Reynolds? Reynolds tried to crush Jim Sorgi's wind pipe and Tressel defended him as a good guy. Apparently they didn't see footage of Reynolds wrenching arms and legs after the whistle in previous games. In fact, it was Reynolds consistently bad behavior against Miami that had a lot of players believing Will Allen's hit on Willis Mcgahee's knee was intentional.

Glass houses and stones don't mix.

As I said before, the punch wasn't the problem, it was attempting to attack the fan. Young kids with a lot of energy can get overly emotional, especially in a big game loss. There are fights and always guys trying to get an extra hit or punch in the bottom of the pile. The issue I have is his attempt to fight a fan. He has to know that he in no way should have anything to do with the fans.

He missed the entire season. I think his punishment was severe enough to drive home that point.

Could be, but judging by his comments in this article, it hasn't humbled him at all. He is still arrogant.

Time will tell. I will give him the benefit of the doubt now based upon what he went thru and his mentors, Tony Dungy and Harry Edwards to name 2.

Also, I think the fan flareup was based upon a racial slur and being threatened with a chair being thrown at him.

Ask the Bozo how kept showing the punch on the scoreboard.

His comments seemed pretty mundane to me. Clearly an example of the pre-combine prep work. Without speaking to him to get the context of his tone and his expressions I don't see how you can conclude arrogance.

"A. I still see myself as one of the top running backs in this draft class. If I would've played this season, I would've definitely worked my way up to the first running back taken."

He isn't even projected as a top 5 in the class, with guys like Best and Spiller, how can he even think he belongs in that category? How can he think that if he played he would have done what they were able to? He isn't as good as he thinks he is. And look at the problems the last poster said he is now having. He is nothing but trouble, maybe he can hang out with our boy Clarett in jail.

What can One expect from a UCLA Fan. UCLA is the most underachieving Team in the USA over the last 20 Years. Consistently in the top tier recruiting classes and the most underachieving.

MBD, I think you are confusing him with his replacement, LaMichael James: http://ncaafootball.fanhouse.com/2010/02/17/o...

Back on topic, that incident involving Blount is troubling. You better believe that no matter where he ends up, the opposition will full well know about him and do their best to under his skin to provoke a similar outburst. If I was an owner or general manager, I would need for the benefits of drafting the guy to far outweigh the possible liabilities. Right now, he's a liability with no money. Things can go really bad really quick once you put millions in his pocket. Does he deserve another chance? Yes, I do think so, but he may want to tone down the "I'm the best" speech and eat some humble pie. It was his mouth that got him in trouble to begin with, and he's trying to prove to the NFL that he has matured, so the best thing for him to do is keep quiet and impress the scouts on the field.
