In the Friday edition of USA Today the Sagarin numbers of OSU was compared to Boise State. The difference in strength of opponents was negligible. The Sagarin numbers are based on statistics and comparisons, not the good-old-boys coaches and AP polls. Sagarin numbers are 1/3 of the BCS rankings. If Boise state loses they drop many points in the rankings where as OSU loses and they drop 1. Hell they even moved up in the polls the week they didn't play! The real reason OSU stays high is that the Bowl people know their will be an onslaught of mindless OSU fans that will follow the team and spend money, so it's in their best interest to rank them high not for ability but rather for money. Follow the money.

You have a short memory. When Ohio State lost they were ranked number one. They dropped at least ten spots and not just one spot as you claim.

Ha ha ha! That is great. Problem solved. Thanks, Nevada.

I bet Boise fans are in deep shock right now. Like when OSU was upset by Michigan State in 1998. Who would ever have believed it?

Yay Nevada! ESPN hyped em up all year long and it blew up in there face. What a wonderful day. Until I turn on the radio and have to listen to them making excuse after excuse for Boise. Wake up nobody gives a crap about boise. Saying they believe Boise would beat lsu. Apparently they have not seen the lsu tigers defense play this year. And have not seen the incredible strides there passing offense has made over the last few weeks. Bring on Boise to the sugar bowl to face the tigers. Tigers will win 41-10

And yes 90% of the talking heads and radio voices should all come on the air at the same time and issue a giant apology for trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the American people. And to the OSU pres. Because his words were twisted and he was hammered pretty severely. Come on Freddie Coleman let's hear it!

So since OSU lost to Wisconsin and they were ranked #1, that must mean they are #2 now right? Not quite...get your facts straight. BSU has played 2 decent teams all year. And when I say decent, I mean not in the bottom 30 of the top 100. They lost to one. Great job.

Boise State proved that the little guy will never win. It is about money. The refs did everything they could to help Nevada... unfortunately Boise overcame this "officiating" and shot themselves in the foot. The had a bad game like they did against VT to start the season. when you put a kicker in the middle of the field 26 yards away from victory with 1 second left to play for... a possible national championship game... or at least a Rose Bowl... You don't miss this kick. he should be expecting a call from Scott Norwood the infamous superbowl wide left kicker. He can tell him how his football future looks right now.

Great day for discrimination in the BCS bad day for unbiased college football fans.

Thus ends my interest in college football.

Boise was ahead by 17 at half. It is hard to blame the refs for blowing a 17 point lead. And how bad of a game did they have against VA Tech? It could be easily argued that the Hokies had a bad game against Boise seeing how they finished the season so strong. Boise had to play as good as they could against the Hokies and still barely won.
