Are you kidding? Wisky is the Big Ten power? OSU could not stop them running between the tackles on almost every play? Three years ago when Boise had a much smaller, less talented team they played and beat an Oklahoma running attack with Adrian Peterson. The PAC 10 is the only conference that has a good record against the SEC. Ohio State has not beat USC since the 1970's. Even Woody and Bo had a hard time winning outside the Big Ten. Woody was no match for the Bear losing 35-0. I think that OSU laid down against Wisky because they feared a collision course and a huge match up problem with Boise.
OSU knew that Wisky was going to run the ball on almost every play and still couldn't stop them. UNLV stuffed Wisky most of the time.
The Big MAC is a pathetic conference. What if OSU had to play USC every year? If they can't stop a one dimensional team like Wisky, how would they compete against Nevada, a team that can also throw the ball.
The easiest team on Florida and LSU's schedule was OSU. Thank God OSU doesn't play in the SEC, that would suck having to beat South Carolina (we are 0-3) for 6th place in the conference.
"I think that OSU laid down against Wisky because they feared a collision course and a huge match up problem with Boise."

You lost any shred of credibility you may have had on that comment. You are on here saying Boise State is a great team and call the Big Ten a pathetic conference? So what does that mean for the WAC? Pee wee football? And the MWC is no better. And I'm not sure if you saw the bowl games last year, but a Penn State team OSU killed last year beat LSU. So while your SEC comments may have been true for a few years, you couldn't be farther from the truth this year and heading into the future. Ok, I'm done. There is no point in reasoning with somebody with nothing but air between the ears.

Michigan is 24 and 3 lifetime against the SEC.Don't confuse the SEC domination and nationally televised beatdowns of OSU with Michigan. The SEC isn't any better then the Big Ten.Alabama and Auburn are great teams, the rest of the SEC is nothing special.Apparently you didn't watch the bowl games last year when the Big Ten kicked some arse either.

I will say this about Auburn that Cam Newton kid is awesome. He's a bigger, stronger version of TP that can actually throw the ball against solid competition.Makes me wonder if TP would have developed into that if he would have went to a school with better coaching.

There are 30 plus bowl games. There are not 60 plus good teams. The Big Ten Champion means that OSU is better than Michigan. Michigan beat Florida at the Outback bowl, that year Michigan was on par with OSU, but the best SEC schools were playing in BCS games. Again South Carolina is a second tier team in their conference that beats the pride of the Big Ten.

Alabama, LSU, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia are all national contender programs. OSU does get a BCS bowl every year by playing in conference where it's members never are in title talks. The Big 2 have 2 titles in over 40 years and everyone outside Big Ten country have an asterisk next to those. Without the large Big Ten media market the conference would not be a BCS qualifier. The Big Ten is better than the MAC, but just below Conference USA.

I just want to say this is the most educated football thread on Topix. But watch out BOISE, Hawaii wants to kick your arz...so there is NO BCS Bowl game for you! Now if Hawaii who already beat Nevada and lost to USC by less then 15...Hawaii is looking really good MONIZ kicked the hell out of USC. I love Boise. But I think Hawaii can take them down!!!!

Can Newton, love that kid!!!!

Mark it down Hawaii is toast, freak win against Nevada. Boise at home will not lose. Nevada is the game in Reno 11/26.

BTW Michigan State will play Boise in 2012, at least one Big Ten team that's not chicken.

I would not bet on that one. Hawaii is RED HOT! I like their system they are playing. If Boise plays like they played LA TECH...going to get a whippins!

Bozo State is a joke. Period. Nothing else really needs to be said!
In watching this game and listening to the announcers cooing about Bozo and how great they are, I almost threw up in my mouth a little. Louisiana Tech is a conference game for them; much like the majority of their conference games. Louisiana Tech is ALSO a team that SEC teams like AUBURN regularly schedule as a patsy warm up game.
Anyone that thinks Bozo State deserves a shot at the title shouldn't even be watching college football. How laughable...

Boise State wouldn't last in the Big Ten or SEC. They don't face a defense the entire year. The only decent teams they faced were Oregon State (Pac Ten lacks defense) and VT (James Madison...do I need to say more?). If they had to face the OSU defense, Wisky defense, Iowa defense, even the Illinois defense, 40 points wouldn't be happening. And the BSU defense isn't good enough to shut people down on a consistent basis to keep the score close enough. Letting Louisiana Tech score 20 points and have plenty of other opportunities to score more wouldn't cut it in the Big Ten. If LT had a decent team, they would have gone score for score with BSU. But when BSU plays high school teams for 90% of their season, it's easy to keep winning and come into a bowl game fresh without many injuries. I would love to see them have to play physical for a few weeks straight, and not have a cakewalk all the way through. Truth is, BSU is afraid to join a real conference because they know what would happen.
Yea...OSU plays a tough schedule....Miami,they stink....Marshall..one step above a JC team...Ohio..wow tough one there....Eastern Michigan...heck most High schools in Michigan could beat them...so, please do not say that they play a tough schedule..they are afraid to playa tough schedule....OSU is afraid to schedule tough games early and will not go and play any of these early games away from their toilet bowl, that is what it looks like, and actually play a tough team....so please take your little rose colored glassses off...they only "tough" game they played this year...they got the behinds kicked...and it was beautiful...next loss...maybe PSU and for sure Iowa...ya hoo!!!

Apparently you can't read. I said BSU couldn't hang in a Big Ten schedule going undefeated because of the beating from decent defenses. You then go talking about the OOC schedule. Kind of counterproductive isn't it? Not to mention, I didn't say that OSU played an extremely tough OOC schedule. I actually have said multiple times that there isn't any major program that plays a tough OOC schedule. And they do schedule one big game every year early. Texas, USC, Miami, Cal, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech. By the way, these are all home and homes. Which to someone who doesn't understand what that is, they play one home game and one road game. So they do get out of the toilet bowl (the stadium that just about every college football player and fan says is amazing to walk into) every other year.

Yea..it is amazing to walk into the toilet bowl and have items thrown at you and get cussed out and face getting beaten up because you dare wear opposing colors!!! That is my dream!!!! Like I said before, take off the colored glasses and realize that most of the nation does not like the suckeyes or its arragant fans!!! And please quit playing high school teams and start playing a real schedule....one tough team this year and guess what..the sucknuts lost!!!!!!

Haha, of course I show that you can't read and started talking about the OOC schedule when the post you responded to was talking about conference schedule, and you revert to talking about the stadium. And you say you get stuff thrown at you and beat up? Are you sure you aren't referring to Penn State? I have been to a lot of OSU home games and never seen stuff being thrown at opposing fans. In fact, I have been at many tailgates where opposing fans are hanging out with OSU fans having a good time before the game. So I have to ask Mr. Anonymous, who is your team? I'm sure I can bring up their OOC schedule past, present, and future and show it is the same or weaker than that of OSU. I'm sure I can find instances where your team as home fans treated other fans badly. But I'm sure you won't divulge that information, as you are a Buckeye hater and can't stand to be proven wrong.

If Boise State played OSU's, Alabama's, Nebraska's or Texas's schedules they would not be undefeated.... How fast people ignore and forget that Virgina Tech had the win stolen from them by the officials in that game against Boise State. They are a very good team but they are not a top 5 team.

Please. I suppose that Mighty NEVADA took care of this conversation for us...

Seriously, Bozo State never deserved the credit they got in the polls. Sure, they can beat a down Oklahoma or Virginia Tech; and maybe they can play with someone on any given day. Hell, if any team played all the joke teams on Bozo's schedule they would be fresh for a bowl game too!

Let Bozo State and TCU come over to the SEC and play a year of football. They will have three or four losses every year just like the rest of the conference. When you play with the big boys week in and week out, you better be a real football team.

Auburn and Oregon deserve to play for the title. The BCS should be whoever vs. the SEC champ every year anyway.

See ya at the Kraft Cheese bowl Broncos! Have fun boys! haha

Bozo came to Athens and played the Dawgs a few years back. Why don't you look up how that game went for the Broncos?

I think Zabransky was all teared up on the sidelines after Georgia picked him two or three times in the first quarter.

Get in reality, people.

TCU at least just accepted an invitation to the Big East. Yeah, the Big East sucks but it's a BCS conference and has a lot better teams on a year to year basis. The Mountain West is where Boise State goes. They claim they are moving up. Looks to me like they are just making a move to try and show they are doing something different to deserve a higher ranking. Who ever heard of the Mountain West? Well, Boise State will continue to play nobody all year while TCU is at least entering some good competition.
