Silly? For missing a press release, and asking a question?
No, not at all.
Pretty important press release......You sure went on and on without doing any investigation on other facts that were out there. Next time, do your homework.

Went on and on? I simply asked if I missed Newton being declared ineligible since a poster used the word "reinstatement".

I did, however, make a couple of posts concerning the criteria for choosing the Heisman recipient. Maybe two posts constitutes going "on and on". I don't know.

Actually, I think the Heisman Trophy is awarded strictly based upon what an athlete does on the field.
As for whether or not the "NCAA let this one go"; It doesn't matter. They have made their ruling. Case closed. Time to move on.
Partially true. But the student-athlete must have eligible standing to earn and keep the Heisman. Eligibility has to do mostly with things off the field. So the Heisman is not awarded strictly for what he does on the field after all.
What an embarassment this would be to the NCAA, SEC, & ESPN if those who run them HAD any sense of shame.

Fans just love to make decisions based upon media sensational hype. There is absolutely no way we as fans can be knowledgeable. The NCAA has an investagational arm and looks into the "facts" and decides what happened and who was involved. We have to trust that they did their job. We as fans don't know a thing. We love to post comments as though we do.
The "media sensation hype" is all in favor of Newton and all for sweeping it under the rug. "Nothing happened here. Move along all". So most of us "FANS" are not mindlessly biased by media, rather we think for ourselves and smell a rat. Get it?

Why all the anger from Ohio against Cam Newton. It is because your beloved Buckeyes couldn't beat a good SEC cheerleading squad.
