Boise State loss hurts more ways than one

Full story: El Paso Times

For two years, Boise State won every time it took the field. The Broncos had to, if they wanted to be considered a serious team that could one day possibly compete for the BCS title.

The BCS is un-American. Boise State should be playing in a good bowl despite the loss. I guess now it is, "Go Horned Frogs," another team that is good but it comes from one of the "lesser" conferences.
Both the aforementioned teams could whip the ACC champs and the Big East champs.
BCS is a joke.

I do not understand. Boise St. wins and is gauranteed a MULTI-MILLION dollar pay check, a 15-17 Million dollar pay out, and a HUGE BONUS for the rest of it's conference members, including Nevada. Now will likely garnish a 800k-1million dollar pay-out with a few bucks to their confernce members. I mean seriously what the hell was Nevada thinking? Yeah you want to win but if all these Mid-majors want to move a step closer to BCS contention,$$$$ is KEY! Especially after Ohio State President Bashes and Down play Mid-Major schools and how great the BCS is! Nevada $hit!!!

C-mon TCU!

Try playing someone of note and then you get to go to a big game, and BTW get rid of that dam blue field and maybe you'll be taken seriously

This voting computer thing is such BS! The REAL points are the players on the field battling it out. Votes doesn't prove who is a better team, its the strength and power of the players down there doing there thing.

They should get the top 8 teams and have them battle it out in a playoff game of some sort. This way everyone can AT LEAST say they had chance to play in the top 8 teams and see who could beat who. No more talks about who had a better record or play a tougher team, etc. etc.

The BCS votes is a joke. Always has been, always will be.

Yeah 9 and 10 place will complain but you gotta cut it off some place. You can do the top 10 teams instead, the point is to give some teams the chance to prove themselves that they deserve a chance at the championship. There has to be a way to do this so it gives a decent fair shot to any school with a good record.

This proves that Boise never was a true contender. NV is a bush-league school in a tiny stadium. Boise never had to play a true test. The major conference schools do, especially the SEC. Boise is about as good as Kentucky, same for TCU.

Yeah Wait a SEC, you'll never get them to realize that. Instead of complaining about the BCS computer system, maybe the rule should be..."If you dominate crappy conferences for so long, you should be moved to a conference with better teams to prove yourself". That'll never happen. Even if it were an option, BSU would continue to move to crappy conferences. This bid to jump in with TCU is a way to beat TCU each year and get an even more glamorous spot in the BCS rankings while still not deserving it. Smart in a way, but seedy and underhanded when thinking about fairness. My projection, TCU and BSU beat each other every few years and completely screw up their rankings. Therefore falling into the rankings they deserve.

BTW, the statue of liberty play only works once. Good job gaining fame on a lost game with this crappy play.

Like Alabama didn't throw the game for Auburn!!! It was all about the bucks!!

Alabama wins and the conference loses!! Alabama loses and the conference wins!!!

Hence, lets lose our best reciever, quarterback, everything!! and lose!!! Alabama and the SEC had everything to lose if they won... so, they lost.

I, for one am sick and tired of hearing about how wonderful Boise State is. It's about time someone cut them down to size. I agree with the post about that dopey blue field.

Are U a Smallhorn fan? Bitter that TEXAS will not even get invited to a bowl? You talk about Boise St. well they are not a BCS school but are a consistant winner without the 5-4 Star players!

GO BOISE ST. and TCU!!
