Nice win tonight. Aggies CAN make it to second place in conference if they play their game. No way to overtake Utah State unless the northern Aggies stumble big time, which I doubt.

The real test will be the WAC tourney in Vegas. They'll have to win it to get into the NCAA tournament.

It was a good game that could have been an easy win in regulation had it not been for the bad calls by the refs. No call when the entire BSU team was on the court at the end of a play without a time out being called. Also allowing a BSU player with 5 fouls play the final minute of the overtime period. Just to mention a couple of plays.. also one ref who would se replay to all fouls on NMSU... he went to replay about 3 times... all this after play was stopped for a time out or out of bounds.

Great!! One down, BSU and two to go, Nev. and Utah State. One game at a time. DIAA, FCS next year??

The Aggies can win at home but rarely on the road, the Vegas WAC tourney is the road and the WAC conference strength means that even a NIT bid possibility is remote.

Except that the Aggies won the WAC tourney last year on an opponent's home court. This year's tourney is a neutral site; advantage, no one.

The officiating was the worst that I have ever seen---it was not only terrible but very one-sided!

Exactly! We beat Nevada on their home turf last year at the WAC Tourney. How easily people forget....

Problem is though that we did not replace the 30 plus points per game guards we lost...we just went to Canada and Africa and got more big awkward players that hopefully will be better in a couple of years...Utah State has a better coach...we keep sliding down...and this is from a suffering fan who watched Sam Lacy play

Of course they care, Pee J. I mean, Bob. You obviously do because you are here more than anyone else.

Does anyone know who the other two NMSU players were to score career highs, as referred to in the article? I haven't seen a box score.

That was last year and the court still isn't their home court.Anytime they play away from PanAm they ARE at a disadvantage. They are not road warriors this year nor can they play defense !No NCAA or NIT,don't be delusional.!
