This is exactly what is wrong with this and other political campaigns. The candidates all tell us what they want us to hear when they are running, then after they get into the position of power they do what they want or what they have promised to special intrest groups. We deserve better that what we are getting. I think that if a canidate says something on the campaign trail and after he gets into that position votes or acts some other way that he or she be required to give up their position. Really now!! ALL of the canidated running for president at this time are telling voters all over the country what they think they want to hear. Probally the one canidate who is really telling the truth about what he thinks is Ron Paul and that is scary as hell. but I do appreciate his truthfulness.

Did You Know: that on November 19, 1945, President Truman addressed Congress on a "National Health Insurance Plan". The American Medical Association (AMA) attacked this bill, capitalizing on the fears of Communism. In 1963, the AMA distributed phonograph records of their spokesman, Ronald Reagan, to oppose Medicare (listen on internet). How many readers would immediately stop all Medicare payments to their parent's and/or grandparents; and have them just "pay in cash"? Now the AMA's latest program is "Voice for the Uninsured"; "We need to vote with these issues in mind in November 2008 and help drive change in the American health care system". My family is currently blessed with excellent "healthcare insurance". However, I watched a CNN Special on the "Health Care System", which shows that good, hardworking Americans, who have health insurance (or maybe recently lost their insurance) are filing for bankruptcy because of medical bills. How long will you still have your healthcare insurance? I don't believe that American businesses can compete in the worldwide marketplace, and still offer healthcare insurance to their employees. I am not a fan of Michael Moore, but I did watch "SICKO" --20% of it is probably not exactly true (but what about the remaining 80%?) I recently received an e-mail of "SICKO Check Up On The Facts". There are over 60 brief paragraphs, and most of the have references, including many directly to websites.(I have no idea whether each one is complete fact.) Those of us who have healthcare insurance pay extra for the 50 million Americans who are not insured; who often receive their medical treatment at an Emergency Room. A large percentage of people complained, attacked, and laughed (including me), when in 1993, Sen.Clinton launched a proposal for universal healthcare. I am not laughing anymore! There is no easy answer, but we must start somewhere. I have read the healthcare proposals on the website for Sen.Obama and Sen.Clinton. After voting as a conservative Republican for about 30 years; I will support Sen.Clinton in the upcoming primary, and vote "Democratic" in November.

Who cares if Obama said he believes in Jesus, before this he had stated that he was in favor of same sex unions. True "Christians" do not and would never agree on any such policy. If Obama (or any other candidate) wanted to involve their "faiths" in any policy of theirs, making comments such as this just shows the hypocracy. It also shows the futility of even asking these questions.

Why does he think we care what deity he believes in?

We only care about one thing: Can you, o can you not do the job and serve the American people the way they deserve, Mr. Obama?
