Bears taking to many risk. 1st round and 7th. When will they get someone that knws hw to draft. drafting and signing all these players with toubled past. everyone deserves a second chance but dont base your intire startegy on second chance players. Emery better hope these pan out or he may be looking for new employment. Handled the Urlacher situation poorly. Not saying letting him go wasn't the correct move but the face of your franchise should have been treated with a little more compassion. Just because the Cubs stink and have for years doesn't mean Bears fans not deserve a winner. I have been a fan for over 40 years and seriously considering cheering for another team.

I think the Bears almost had to take chances. The previous regime only left them with 5 draft picks where as the other nfc north teams had like ten or more. The Bears will get on track.

Emery's background prior to the Bears was at the United States Naval Academy (1991-1998). I can't think of anyone who can judge young men's football talent regardless of a trouble background better then he can. He is experienced in taking Naval Academy recruits and molding them into second to none officers of the U.S. Navy. Just because a player is rated higher than someone else doesn’t mean he will succeed
The French Foreign Legion was made up of misfits but very few messed with them in combat.
