Pretty lame. 1st home game is on a Thursday night (when kids are going back to school and parents are helping college kids move back in). Why? It's Hoftsra and not on TV??
Then they play another night game on 9/19 against that perrienal power house- Baylor. No home games from then until 10/25 so for those of you who are counting, we get 4 traditional Sat home games (for now) and only 2 of them are before November. So much for enjoying the crisp fall mornings at the Rent...
I guess they are prepping us for those 3 hr drives to see Notre Dame in 'home' games that will have more ND fans. Didn't the state spend all the money on the Rent with games like that in mind? Don't get me wrong, I love going to the games but with a min. donation of $150 per seat, you have to start asking if you're money's worth with schedules like this...

I think the home schedule is actually pretty exciting this year.

I think this is the second or third year they have opened on Thursday night, last year it was URI, year before it was Maine (or vice versa)I guess they don't want to waste the weekends for people against teams that more of warm up games. The baylor game is on ESPN so they probably had a say in scheduling it.
Playing Pitt at home in December will be frigid but the games against UVA and Baylor should be great football wetaher even if one of them is a Friday night

Why cant Uconn schedule top non conference games? Hofstra? Come on! And Edsall being quoted as having a tough non conference sched. Sorry but just because a team is from a power conference doesnt mean the team is any good. Baylor was 3-9 last season and winless in their conference, not excatly a top team to bring to CT.
