I would expect this from other news sources but you guys...
Please I'm so sure Bill and Company will throw a first rounder at a 6'1 and a half 299 pound nose tackle with an inconsistant Sophmore and Junior year. Plus, he's allready 25 years old.

Guess the people from Newsday know less about sports than they do actual news if thats possible.

Mock drafts are just plain stupid. No one has a clue who will be taken at pick 25, and the team probably doesn't either. It's like telling you where to find gold, whether it will rain in 47 days, and guessing how much the moon weighs with any sort of certainty.

How many experts predicted two years ago that Brady Quinn would fall to the 22nd pick, and further predict the Browns would trade their 1st pick the next year for Quinn? This year, it's hard to be accurate at the top stops, let alone later in the draft. Show of hands how many expect Miami WON'T pick a LB/DE, CB, NT, and WR through the first 3 rounds?

If Alphonso Smith is there at 25, I'd bet on the Dolphins taking him before Peria Jerry. They need a quality CB before a DT.

did anyone see Andrea Smith run without a shirt one. What a horrible pro day. 19 reps is weak.

I dont think peria is the way to go with the first pick....I like a corner or linebacker....which ever is the better athlete...I trust the trifecta...I can't wait till draft day!!!

Peria is not a bad pick if still on the board, but Moreno makes sense also, the Fins have spent millions on upgrading the offensive line and not sure R. Brown can stay healthy and R. Williams does not have the zest he once possessed. There are ample WR's and DT's in this draft but not many with the talent and excitement Moreno's brings it would be immediate relief for Pennington who would have to throw less

If Percy Harvin IS indeed there when the Dolphins pick at 25, they are nuts not to take him. I know we need DT's, and OL & Secondary help.
However, this team also needs a real playmaker on offense.
It seems like every consistently successful NFL team this decade has had one, whether it's a QB, RB, TE, or yes, a WR.
Brady, Manning, Wayne, Harrison, McNabb, Ladanian, Gates, Steve Smith, Santonio Holmes, Rothlisberger, Burress, Fitzgerald, Boldin, etc.
Yes, they vary from team to team.
However, the Dolphins currently do not have an offensive player anywhere near that caliber.
Worse, it's been since Ricky led the league in rushing back in 2002 that the Dolphins had a true game changer on offense.
