I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but what if their current Jr class stayed on for their Sr year? Can you imagine how good they could be with Turner, Lighty, etc. providing the leadership with the young guys coming in?

How about this for your 2010 lineup: The second team could compete for the Big Ten title!

C Sullinger
PF Lighty
SF Buford
SG Diebler
PG Turner
C Lauderdale
PF Thomas
SF Weatherspoon
G Seibert
PG Craft
PG Smith
SF Kecman
SG Offutt
C Sarikopoulos

That's 14 players. Someone's got to go at the end of the '09 season or they will have to many scholies. Are Big Z and Kecman on scholie? I know the rest are or will be.

need some juniors to return next season to lead the young group. I think Lighty and Lauderdale will. Turner probably should go to the draft if they have a decent run in March.

There is another like me. With OSU football being the "only" thing in town in the 60's and 70's and me a hoops player, football didn't "need" another fan and I became head of heels in love with OSU hoops long ago. Best Buckeye of all time after Archie? Kelvin Ransey!
Great recruiting again, Mr Matta! Looking forward to a great time this year. Beat Carolina!!!
Go Bucks.

I love Thad Matta. He has done an unbelievable job with everything. In my opinion he is the best coach in the country, in terms of recruiting and everything else involved. The talent he is bringing in here year after year is amazing.

If college basketball was still operating the same way it was prior to around 1994, we would have the greatest collection of talent ever compiled in college basketball. Better than UCLA teams, UNLV, UNC, and any other you can think of.

Great job coach Matta.

I couldn't agree more. He's one of the best recruiters I've ever seen. The Bucks looked a little sluggish out of the gate last night but turned it on in the second half. Turner is a witch. There is no weakness in his game. We'll see how good he really is next week against Carolina. Buford looks a lot more comfortable this year. He's a heck of a sniper out there. He can shoot from anywhere on the floor. Diebler is still Diebler. He's a great 3 point spot up shooter but is scared to death around the bucket. He needs to learn to take it up strong around the basket and at least get fouled. When he's hot from downtown he virtually unstopable. Man is nice having lighty back. What a defender he is!

Well I sure hope we can find a way to keep these kids around and not let them jump ship to the NBA to soon, there needs to be some changes made in that policy !
