Atheism requires as much faith as religion? bearvspuma : The only problem with this rationalization is that ita s assuming all athiests are so because theya re intelligent in the ways of science and reasoning and all people that believe in a form of god are unintelligent.

I could sit here for days quoting and explaing scriptures, but, it would be a waste of time, like talking to a brick wall. You already have your mind set on your religion of science or whatever, and your atheist ways. Absolutely nothing I could say would change your mind. God gifted us a book of life, and you don't believe that, so... go on with your trip down the path of conscience confusion constipation and speculation.

You see, all lint is something unique to each person, in that it happens to some people and they are aware, and some are not so aware of it, not in any major way. I however, am acutely aware of the lint in my belly button and it's this keen perception I have that causes my brain energies to..."

Well, don't wait for me to show, as I probably will be occupied with other things.
I am just as ignorant of what comes next as you. A lot less ignorant on other things, granted, but as to what is over the distant horizon I glimpsed, I can't say what is and what ain't, except for the fact the termination of my existence as a conscious entity will not occur. It would nice just drifting off to eternal nothing, but it don't work that way. As I pointed out before, I checked out of this existence, and the physical likelihood of death was very, very high, but not once did it occur to me that the consciousness I was, and which changed a couple of times as I went further from this place, was about to end. As I pointed out before, I was atheist, very material and technically oriented, but such thoughts never crossed my consciousnesses. Was quite the surprise after coming back and my physical brain reviewed the experience. That physical brain is not what really runs you, or in control of you. It is a hazy filter you peer out and work with in this particular environment.
Or something like that.
The possession? That was a huge surprise and most troubling for a while. I've always had this thing ingrained in me about each of us having a right to exist here on our own. I felt I was a threat to my progeny. But this was afterwards. In my desperation to continue materially after realizing this ended, I knew I could share existence here with others. I scanned those around me, but had to make a qualitative decision. Luckily none of them had a life I wanted to get involved in. Except for a bonded couple. I couldn't do it. That was the only time when a bright light appeared. That is when I headed for the spiritual recycling bin.
Timmy, me boy, you are working on false assumptions with your physical brain. In this manifestation it is like a light bulb projecting for you to see, and it reacts to what bounces back. All you will see with it is here. You won't see the greater reality. Don't assume too much with it.
Existence is feeling and emotion more than cold hard logic. Enjoy it.
Do you know why they're called near death experiences?

It happened again yesterday, the mysterious deflection of weather from this little town.
For a half hour I watched a severe T-storm approach with lots of hail in it on radar. But instead of it diverting about 5 miles out, this time it just kind of fizzled out while it passed over and started again after it did. I watched the radar and it was still organized up to a mile away, very red and violet. Then we just got a few drops as it passed over, where it resumed its intensity. It was a large storm.
Is it my deodorant?
I do appreciate not having the wicked hail storms, though.
It's you dave. Accept your calling as the rainman.

Are you still going all senile on the bible myth guy who's name sort of sounds like zipper Dave? When you said zippers existed 3000 years ago?

Sigh... Head injuries did that to you.
