Atheism requires as much faith as religion? bearvspuma : The only problem with this rationalization is that ita s assuming all athiests are so because theya re intelligent in the ways of science and reasoning and all people that believe in a form of god are unintelligent.

Many years ago I was sitting in an office with other guys when one of them took two pencils, put a rubber band around them, twisted them to tension the band, and then dropped them on a desktop and we watched them dance around as the band unwound. We all laughed and got big giggle at this mindless toy bouncing around. The things people do to pass the time, and the creativity they can use to do so.

That didn't require any high tech knowledge or deep scientific understanding.

Humans make devices to express themselves in the damndest ways. From that to nuclear bombs to posting thoughts, if any, on here. We just use the forces of nature provided and have learned to manipulate for desired ends, even if they are dumb.

Each molecule of those pencils and rubber band was "expressing itself". Stress on assemblage created action and reaction.

Since we are here, what you call existing, there is a rather large probability something wound us up and dropped us on the table to express themselves.

Yeah.
Jesus failed.
He was supposed to become the king of the Jews, but he got nailed to a cross instead, and his sky daddy didn't come out to save him, so they had to make up the whole resurrection thing. And that's why the whole "why hast thou forsaken me" thing.
Oopsie.

Hiding place for homosexual predators of adolescent males. Is that the church or the homosexual network that does the evil?

Why do Topix atheists believe that ignorant snarkiness and using buzzwords is a substitute for intelligent and objective thinking?

Perhaps it is limits of their mental abilities?

You have to have faith in your lack of belief to argue for it.

You have to have faith in what you know is the truth of all things to base that non-belief on. Look around you. There is not a man-made device or organic creature that wasn't created by some process with a design that they assembled from.

Topix atheists can't wrap their heads around that.

Of course, they can just be confusing a belief in a creator in a man made organized view as the same as an absolute unknowable creative force that made their magical poof into existence possible. Perhaps they don't know what they believe in or not believe in.

There is no magical or poof, that made our existence possible.
Unless you are calling about 2 million years of evolution a poof or magical. There was no instant gratification by creation.

Nope, again.

Absent compelling evidence, there's no reason to believe in a deity.

Oh, yes, very easy.

Ostriches do the same thing.

Of course, looking around and seeing design, as in plans that are followed, EVERYWHERE in our existence is compelling evidence that there was no creation in our design, however remote it may be from direct view.

Yes, it truly takes the intelligence of a Topix atheist to comprehend such things.

Didn't say there was. Slow growth is more likely. Like from a seed.

Now, how did this VERY sudden existence, what, down to less than 10^-34 second, that you believe in occur? Wow, must have really startled the human scientists witnessing that.

Yet again, no.

Although if you really are seeing all that, it's fair evidence of monomania.

An invisible wizard caused it, would be your answer.
I will say IDK but have seen no evidence of invisible wizards.
Kinda circular this argument is.
So when I see one, you can say I told you so.
So to make it interesting, hold your breath till I see one.
