It's a racist joke, nothing more.

Oprah DOES have black holes....

Or maybe purple, I don't know...

Well...it's a good thing you're not racist, because when racists tell racist jokes, that's bad. Real bad.
But as long as you're not racist, it's okely-dokely, riverino.
How is it racist? Oprah's a black woman. Black women have either black or purple privates, primarily.

How is stating a fact being racist?

Would it be equally racist to say Sharon Stone has pink holes?

Oopsie.

What your bible says clearly and simply.
When God says,“Let the earth produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.”, I understand that can't happen in 24 hours. Many people understand it and have understood it for thousands of years.

That certain individuals within Christianity, or the competing belief sets within the Abrahamic faiths, felt otherwise, does not negate the prevailing doctrine within those faiths at the time.
In having said that...
What I've learned over the years, is that when people are presented new view points, and this is true of centuries ago as well, they will often embrace those views because they are logical, make sense, and appeal to reason.
In this case, Philo is no different than you, and you nor Philo are or were all Christians.
I can't or won't make allowances for each individual "belief set" that an individual may or may not have within a religious belief or practice. I've said this on numerous occasions.
The only "Real Christian™" that exists is the one you happen to be talking to,*at that moment*. Just ask them, and they'll tell you who is or isn't a "Real Christian™" or does or doesn't believe what a "Real Christian™" is supposed to believe, and they'll tell you.
So, that you are that you or someone else was or are at variance with what was the commonly accepted doctrine of the time, or currently, isn't the issue.
I stand by what I stated earlier. Until about 250 years ago, all Abrahamic faiths accepted the flood, the seven day creation etc..., as definitely real. Christians, too.
Interesting....

You wrote "when people are presented new view points, and this is true of centuries ago as well, they will often embrace those views because they are logical".

What "new view points" did people have back in the first century?

Do you have an annotated bible that specifies the poof/no poof sections?
I used the "poof" so the the Topix Atheist! might be able to understand the difference in things in Genesis that God directly created and things that He allowed the earth to create.

Obviously, it was beyond you.

Yes, really. Personally. Thousands.

I care not to go into further detail.

Jesus knows what I done did.

I'm no Bible scholar. I don't mind admitting that. Where does the Bible say that God created the universe? I thought Genesis was talking about the Earth.

I'll venture to say that it's very likely that every culture that has ever lived upon the earth had or has a saying that said the same thing, regardless of the phrasing.

Then not being a Topix Atheist! couldn't be your reason, could it?

If we continue this game, that leaves the original question unanswered, plus a new one.

Why did you answer the way you did?

To me, it looked like a cheap shot with no footing.

You're also wrong. We don't only knock Christian beliefs.

It isn't about reformulated beliefs, it's about a better understanding of what the Bible says.

The claim was made that all Christians believed in the 144 hour creation event until 250 years ago.

I have since shut that down.

Did you learn something?
Yes.

But not what you think.

Occasionally, after extramarital homosexual sex, I would tell the girl that I'm actually a happily married heterosexual housewife. After a puzzled look, she would say, "Shutthefuck up". Then we'd smoke another spliff and think up other sins :)

Lying is another of my favourite sins.
