Probably felt emboldened because of Obama's angst towards whites too - at least those who don't vote democrat?
Obama has set the mood for blacks to act out their repressed frustrations. He has implied it's okay.
Only in your delusional hate warped mind Carol. Here's what the President said about the civil unrest in Ferguson;
"There is never an excuse for violence against police or for those who would use this tragedy as a cover for vandalism or looting."

The whole problem is you and RealDave believe the government actually cares about giving other people's money to the poor.
Money has been thrown at the poor in the War on Poverty since the Johnson era - probably in the billions.
Helping the poor is giving them a hand up to stand on their own two feet.
The question is why don't you and RealDave get that?
Most programs to help the poorer people are geared to get them to stand on their own two feet.

We give it those that need it.
The poor need help to get back on their feet.
The wealthy do not need it.
The money given to poorer people gets put back in the economy.
The money handed to wealthy people not so much.
Wealthy people that actually do invest in projects that create jobs are rewarded without handing them more welfare. Trading pieces of paper is not creating jobs. You buying shares of AT&T from me does little for AT&T.
We have the ones writing the tax code funded by those that proper from that tax code. We have a political party that blocks removing tax advantages of US companies taking jobs overseas & can't even remove oil industry subsidies. You know, the party you support.
So,if you are as educated as you claim, why do you support this party? Why do you support the party that brought us this recession and support their efforts to hinder our recovery?
"give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"

Handing out money to those who have no intention of rising above their current positions and in many cases are the product of generations of welfare recipients, is not the answer.

If you would have advocated that for these poor to receive such benefits that they would have to perform at least 20 hours of service... ie: trash pickup, sweeping the streets, cleaning public parks and the like, I might actually agree. But it appears that your answer is to just continue to supply them with funds, all under the auspice that the money gets back into the economy.

But then one has to ask ... if they produce nothing, and only return to the economy which they take ... how is this money best spent by the recipients of welfare and not by the taxpayer who actually earned it?

Wealthy people create jobs, they spend more in a week for goods and services than 100 poor individuals. Given that you believe that wealthy people don't create jobs and only "trade pieces of paper", leads me to believe that it is you that is deficient in education, and or life experience.

And then you make blind assumptions .... so tell me which party do I support?

Why? Because he's not an ignorant bigot like you?
Muslim astronomers were the first to establish observatories, like the one built at Mugharah by Hulagu, the son of Genghis Khan, in Persia, and they invented instruments such as the quadrant and astrolabe, which led to advances not only in astronomy but in oceanic navigation, contributing to the European age of exploration.
The first great Muslim mathematician, Al-Khawarizmi, invented the subject of algebra (al-Jabr), which was further developed by others, most notably Umar Khayyam. Al-Khawarizmi's work, in Latin translation, brought the Arabic numerals along with the mathematics to Europe, through Spain. The word "algorithm" is derived from his name.
Muslim scholars used human cadavers to study anatomy and physiology and to help their students understand how the body functions. This empirical study enabled surgery to develop very quickly.
Al-Razi, known in the West as Rhazes, the famous physician and scientist,(d. 932) was one of the greatest physicians in the world in the Middle Ages. He stressed empirical observation and clinical medicine and was unrivalled as a diagnostician. He also wrote a treatise on hygiene in hospitals. Abul-Qasim Az-Zahrawi was a very famous surgeon in the eleventh century, known in Europe for his work, Concession (Kitab al-Tasrif).
Other significant contributions were made in pharmacology, such as Ibn Sina's Kitab al-Shifa'(Book of Healing), and in public health. Every major city in the Islamic world had a number of excellent hospitals, some of them teaching hospitals, and many of them were specialized for particular diseases, including mental and emotional. The Ottomans were particularly noted for their building of hospitals and for the high level of hygiene practiced in them.
You're an idiot Ray; you always have been and always will be!
Civilizations rise and fall, Idiot. What happened to Rome? Greece? Do all roads today lead to Rome? Are the Greeks leaders in Science and Philosophy?

The Muslims today are butchering innocents in the name of a concocted Allah ghost, an extremely retrograde social movement attempting to drag humanity back 2,000 years in a present day of Scientific knowledge explosions. Where are those famous Muslim medical centers today? Those Astronomy centers?

In the trash, pal - as Muslims berate women, kill children and threaten humanity with nuclear annihilation, Bio-Terrorism and theocratic enslavement.

You need to wipe the snot from your nose, kid, and grow up.

Try to keep up

The Obama Administration made clear last week that its ban against U.S.“boots on the ground” inside Iraq only pertained to combat boots. Sunday, it went back to its dictionary and stretched the definition of “humanitarian” to include offensive bombing strikes against Islamist militants in northern Iraq.
