It looks like we may have been wrong about Cheney being Bush's brain. Bush is smart enough to keep his mouth shut and is pretty much hiding from the press while his colossal Iraq blunder plays out. Idiot Cheney, on the other hand, is still beating his chest about his part in creating this Middle East disaster.

Thanks Bush-Cheney for the mess you created world wide. After eight years of the very worst "leadership" and I use that term loosely, we are now seeing the results of bagger leadership.

We should have know as history shows that every time we have had a depression or a serious recession it has been after eight years of a Republican presidency. I do believe that will be the last time we will see two morons like that as hopefully we have learned our lesson. Each day there are becoming fewer and fewer sheep on the right. All we have to remember is that "RIGHT is WRONG".

Exactly. One cannot predict the future. I never said the VA is the same as single payer. I said single payer is something that could lead to VA style healthcare. You can't guarantee that it won't long after we're gone.

Bill Clinton was bombing Iraq almost every day-why isn't Clinton saying anything? cause he doesn't know what he was doing? maybe it was just a video-yep Clinton's entire presidency was just a video.

Apparently:
A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they'd be asked the "half empty or half full" question. Instead, with a smile on her face, she enquired: "How heavy is this glass of water?"

Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.

She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn't change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes."

She continued, "The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed – incapable of doing anything."

Remember to put the glass down.

Watching a bunch of men running up and down a grass field all day to 'maybe' score a point is boring. I like rugby much better.

Mormons Say Critical Online Comments Draw Threats From Church

Rock Waterman, a retired innkeeper in California, writes a blog called Pure Mormonism, which attracts Mormons so orthodox that they believe their church is not sufficiently adhering to its own doctrines.

Last month, Mr. Waterman posted a combative challenge addressed to one of the Mormon Church’s top leaders:“Stop making up your own rules and try preaching the Gospel of Christ for a change.”

Two days later, he said, he was summoned to a meeting with his bishop and told to either stop blogging or resign his church membership. If he did not resign he would face excommunication, he said the bishop told him, on orders from another official higher up — one of the church’s leaders known as an Area Seventy.

As Iraq falls, it's worth remembering Vice President Joe Biden hailing that country as one of
President Obama's "greatest achievements" in a 2010 interview with then CNN host Larry King.

Fallon's joke about Biden was hilarious last night.

A clip of Biden and Ghana's president was shown sitting side-by-side at the World Cup and the announcer mistakenly calling Biden the President of the United States,

Fallon said Biden looked at Ghana's black president and said, "Did you hear that Barack? They think I'm the president!"

Just thought it was hilarious.

My state had basic and essential plans tailored for your friend. Early retirees used it as a bridge to Medicaid. Obamacare eliminated them. We were already at 200% of poverty level with Medicaid.
http://www.nj.com/business/index.ssf/2013/08/...
Those plans did not cover hospitalizations and the last sentence of your article sums it up well:

"If you buy it when you’re healthy, you don’t think about it," Sheeran of Glenn Insurance said of B&E plans. "Then when something happens, you’re stuck."

I think a lot of the people who had those plans probably felt they were covered; but with Obamacare; their coverage will be more comprehensive; in addition to the pre existing conditions part. I'm not in love with the mandate to buy insurance from insurance companies; I hope it will evolve into universal single payer paid through taxation and not attached to employment.

May 12, 1996:- Secretary of State Madeleine Albright's response to a May 12, 1996 60 Minutes question about the over half million Muslim Iraqi children killed by the poison ordered by the Clinton Administration against the Muslim people of Iraq...
