What's the left's solution - bicycles, horses and gliders?
Just exactly how do you think we can be "energy independent" when we allow our oil to be shipped overseas? Open your eyes.

No. That's not true. Very, very few people with catastrophic insurance are "capable of paying the deductible" and their other expenses. They chose it because it is cheap. Period.

Does it make sense to you that we ship OUR oil overseas while importing oil from OTHER COUNTRIES?

Christ, are all liberals as dumb as you are? Did you get an e-mail saying ¨Sorry, that's the way the world works.¨?

Thanks to your meddling, we-know-what's-best-for-everyo ne government, millions cannot choose an affordable health insurance plan because the people in charge are pathetically clueless. If the ACA was actually about health care and helping people, no one would lose the coverage they had and those that weren't covered would be. But we all know THAT'S NEVER going to happen.

Another blatant right wing lie coming from Rush and the Daily Caller.
The truth is nearly the opposite - Yosses' departure is actually due in part to a new found interest in "the relationship between food and health," according to The New York Times, a passion that he discovered after beginning to work with healthier ingredients during his time at the White House. He reportedly plans to begin working on a food literacy program to promote "delicious food as healthy food," citing how he had been inspired by the first lady's requests for healthier desserts.
Even the Blaze, Glenn Beck's website, called out The Daily Caller for distorting the pastry chef's departure, writing that "Yosses' reasons for leaving are actually quite the opposite" of what the Daily Caller wrote.

News Flash! "The congressional GOP has smothered a more rapid economic recovery"
From the beginning of Obama's presidency, the GOP sought to block measures that a wide swath of economists agreed would provide help to boost the economy and bring down unemployment. This obstructionism has been a constant theme throughout the past four years, and it continues today...
The facts are simply that congressional Republicans have consistently hamstrung efforts that a large consensus of economists agree would have provided crucial help in lowering American unemployment. Specifically, they have objectively weakened the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), repeatedly filibustered routine extensions of emergency unemployment benefits, blocked aid to state governments, filibustered infrastructure investment, used extreme legislative vehicles like refusing to follow precedent on the typically pro forma votes to raise the debt ceiling to extract more economically damaging government spending cuts, blocked passage of a majority of the American Jobs Act (AJA), demanded counterproductive offsets to fiscal stimulus, and attacked the Federal Reserve’s expansion of the monetary base and other policy responses intended to lower unemployment..."

All of which would have done far more harm than good to the economy. What you libtards fail to understand is you have to take that money out of the economy or borrow or print it before you can put it back in the economy. The best way to spur economic growth is to cut government, lower spending, and cut taxes. Works every time!!!

Israel, for example, recently announced it no longer trusts or relies on the U.S. to monitor Iran's nuclear program. Russia is threatening to turn a blind eye in monitoring Iran's nuclear program because of the tensions growing between us and them. North Korea is just itching to bomb South Korea and only needs a nudge with the growing destabilization between the U.S., Russia, Iran and Israel. Perhaps it really is time to head for the hills. Maybe cave dwelling isn't so bad once you get used to it.
Sure Carol, and you also think that global warming is a hoax because a ship got caught in the ice in Antarctica. The facts show that the economy has improved since Obama took office. All of these global situations have been going on for years Carol. By the way who was in the Oval Office when North Korea ramped up its nuclear program? That would be your hero George W Bush who was too busy with his little adventure in Iraq to pay attention to the real danger spots in the world.
Once again Carol, it's CapitOl Hill, not CapitAl Hill. Someone who was supposedly a hot shot teacher really ought to know that.

Flack, a PhD in economics, does know what a recession is & what cutting government spending during a recession does.

Stimulus actions during a recession & its recovery help speed up that recovery. Republican actions by blocking these efforts just weaken the recovery & drag out the effects of the recession.

I find it funnier than sh*t that all these "OMG OMG government spending" people support the very same people who, through unfunded spending & lashing revenues, created this recession in the first place.

If cutting taxes works every time, lets cut taxes by 5% every year & within a couple of decades, we will have a booming economy & no one will pay any taxes.

The president’s credibility is trashed, and a major part of that is his failure to launch the unpopular healthcare policy that carries his name,“Obamacare.” March 2014, saw the thirty-first delay in a public display of total inefficiency.
Scandals follow in the wake of Obama appointees to key governmental jobs. Kathleen Sebelius, Obama’s Health and Human Services Secretary, apologized, last October, for the abject failure of the computer system that was supposed to deliver the Obamacare plan to the American public.
“In these early weeks, access to health care has been a miserably frustrating experience. You deserve better,” she said. The planning team had been working on the computer system for years.
On the popular “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart accused Sebelius of lying about parts of Obamacare. When that happens, you know you’re in trouble.
Let's do a little detective work here Security Guard. All of you morons on the right never miss an opportunity to lambast the healthcare "LAW" by the way police officers are compelled to uphold the "LAW". You by simply referring to it as Obamacare are attempting to belittle, although it's obvious that you are totally clueless and dependent on others and their comments which are designed for slugs like you to repeat.

If you and that band of totally transparent politically motivated cretins were honest about your intentions you would admit that you are scared to death because you are terrified that it will be successful. That's the only logical explanation. If it were such a bad "LAW" hell you idiots would be all for it. You have voted to repeal it over 50 times, but not once for the jobs bill that has been up for vote for a number of years now. The tide is starting to turn, lies will only work for a little while and the Republicans are on the wrong side of every issue. So take your smug condescending ignorance and deposit it up your rather rotund ass. Meathead

Really Douchebag?
The Bush economy:
"Democrats like to claim the 1990s were a golden age while the Bush years have been disastrous. But as the nearby chart shows, Mr. Bush inherited a recession. The dot-com bubble had burst in 2000, and the economy was sinking even before the shock of 9/11, the corporate scandals and Sarbanes-Oxley. Mr. Bush's original tax-cut proposal was designed in part as insurance against such a downturn."
"However, to win over Senate Democrats, Mr. Bush both phased in the tax rate reductions and settled for politically popular but economically feckless tax rebate checks. Those checks provided a short-term lift to consumer spending but no real boost to risk-taking or business investment, which was still recovering from the tech implosion. By late 2002, the economy was struggling again -- which is when Mr. Bush proposed his second round of tax cuts."
"This time the tax rate reductions were immediate, and they included cuts in capital gains and dividends designed to spur business incentives. As the tax cuts became law in late May 2003, the recovery began in earnest. Growth averaged nearly 4% over the next three years, the jobless rate fell from 6.3% in June 2003 to 4.4% in October 2006, and real wages began to grow despite rising food and energy prices. The 2003 tax cut was the high point of Bush economic policy."
"Nonetheless, the budget deficit did fall mid-decade, as tax revenues soared with the expansion. In fiscal 2007, the deficit hit $161 billion, or an economically trivial 1.2% of GDP. That seems like a distant memory after the bailout blowout of the last few months, but the point is that the Bush tax cuts aren't responsible for the deficits. Before the recession hit, federal tax revenues had climbed above their postwar average of 18.3% of GDP."
The WSJ
I did fine, imbeciles like you exist on welfare and envy of your betters.
That's obviously an opinion piece and you don't provide the identity of the writer.
What you and this Rupert Murdock minion are missing is that tax revenues went up because of the overheated housing market caused by unregulated mortgage brokers who knew that they could make shaky loans and then dump them into the equally unregulated mortgage backed securities market which was in turn backed up by debt default swaps. The whole thing was built on a house of cards that would eventually come crashing down due the lack of federal oversight.
