Sometimes I wish there were extreme rightwing conservative networks and newspapers who did that as unashamedly as the NY Times, ABC, NBC and MSNBC. Maybe even two or three of them to balance out the bias just so the left would get a taste of their own medicine.
It's because Fox News doesn't do that and there aren't any other major news outlets as far rightwing as the leftwing media that liberals have no idea what's it like to be in our shoes.
They think outright biased news, black out news and distorted news is the norm. This article is a perfect example. And it's only just begun. It's a matter of time before they portray Hillary with a halo over her head and elevate her to sainthood.

It was the liberal conservatives who spoke out against slavery, who fought for child labor laws, who fought for safe workplaces. Who fought for the right of women to vote and for civil rights. You extreme right wingers were dead set against all of those.
To quote Theodore Roosevelt;
“A great democracy has got to be progressive or it will soon cease to be great or a democracy.”
― Theodore Roosevelt, New Nationalism Speech by Teddy Roosevelt
That's probably the most ridiculous assumption anyone has ever posted on here. And there have been some pretty ridiculous assumptions posted on here.

Republicans were known as the Party of Freedom. They envisioned “free soil, free speech, free labor” and, under the leadership of President Lincoln, the GOP became the Party of the Union as well.

It was President Lincoln who issued the Emancipation Proclamation, but it was the entire Republican Party who freed the slaves. The 1864 Republican National Convention called for the abolition of slavery, and Congressional Republicans passed the 13th Amendment unanimously, with only a few Democrat votes.

The early women’s rights movement was solidly Republican, as it was a continuation of abolitionism. Susan B. Anthony and other suffragette activists were careful not to be too partisan but most favored the GOP. The 19th Amendment was written by a Republican senator and garnered greater support from Republicans than from Democrats.

By 1870, the Massachusetts Republican State Convention had already seated two suffragettes, Lucy Stone and Mary A. Livermore, as delegates. Two alternates, Therese A. Jenkins and Cora G. Carleton, were also sent to the 1892 Republican Convention.

http://www.nfrw.org/republicans/women/suffrag...

And here's the real kicker:

26 of the 36 states that ratified the Amendment had Republican legislatures. Of the nine states that voted against ratification, eight were Democratic. Twelve states, all Republican, had given women full suffrage before the federal amendment was ratified.

Want me explain the GOP's history of passing civil rights legislation next?

One more little interesting fact for PDupont....

Frederick Douglass also spoke at the Seneca Falls Convention in support of women's right to vote.

Frederick Douglass was one of many black Republicans elected into public office right after the Civil War.

The first black Democrat wasn't elected to public office until the mid 1930s and only then were blacks welcomed back onto the Democratic Plantation because of the New Deal. Nearly every black by 1940 had abandoned the party who championed them since before and after the Civil War choosing to be taken care of by big government over freedom and personal choice. The majority have remained there ever since.

But that's beginning to change.

Ted Cruz’s Canadian Panic
The Texas senator’s vow to renounce his dual citizenship by year’s end is just a taste of all the zany good fun a Cruz White House bid promises. So why can’t the Democrats run with it?
Exclusive excerpts from Sen. Ted Cruz’s list of New Year’s resolutions:
1. Start a petition to get White Castle served in the Senate dining room.
2. Hire Phil Robertson as a speechwriter for Dad.
3. Send Matt Bevin campaign $$.
4. Send R. Perry more back meds.
5. Enroll C. Christie in bacon-of-the-month club.
6. Commission a push poll about McCain’s having made up Hanoi Hilton story.
7. See if Heidi’s insurance policy covers verbal incontinence.
8. Officially renounce Canadian citizenship…
Of all the early steps being taken by politicians eyeballing 2016—Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget deal, Hillary Clinton’s upcoming memoir, Sen. Marco Rubio’s hurling immigrants under the bus—none is quite as tantalizing as Cruz’s vow that, by year’s end, he will no longer be a dual citizen of our neighbor to the north. Not only does the move indicate that Cruz is getting oh-so-serious about throwing his Stetson into the presidential ring, it reminds us all of the zany good fun a Cruz White House run promises.
....So to recap: Like Barack Obama, only one of Cruz’s parents was an American citizen at the time of his birth. Unlike Obama, Cruz’s birth certificate clearly shows that he was not born in the country of which he now aspires to become commander in chief. Also unlike Obama, Cruz’s father has undisputed past ties to an aggressive, long-standing enemy of the United States government.(No, silly, not Jim DeMint.)
Talk about a campaign issue with Donald Trump’s name all over it. And sure enough, even before the News’ dual-citizenship piece, America’s favorite birther had been dipping a finger in this pool. In an August 11 interview with ABC’s This Week, Trump questioned Cruz’s POTUS eligibility.“If he was born in Canada, perhaps not.”
Of course, Trump isn’t the only conspiracy-minded nutter on the political scene. And, to be fair, don’t liberals deserve their whack at this particular pińata? Even if that whole “anti-American” label doesn’t tend to resonate as loudly on the left as it does on the right, Cruz critics at least could have some fun taunting his base with his cultural impurities. I mean, a boot-wearing, bomb-throwing Tea Party conservative born in the land of socialized medicine, Quebecois, and Howie Mandel? What isn’t awesome about that?

Republicans, known as the Party of Freedom, became the Party of the Union under Lincoln as well.

The Republican Party freed the slaves after the 1864 Republican National Convention called for the abolition of slavery and Congressional Republicans passed the 13th Amendment unanimously, with only a few Democrat votes.

Lois are you really that stupid not to realize things change over time?? Honestly, do you really think that the republican party of today had the same platforms and ideals as the Republican party that fought slavery, pushed for child labor laws, pushed for safe work places, and the right for women to vote?

Gee that's why republican want to limit OSHA, restrict voting with voter ID laws, restrict voter registration and limit voting times.

Your assessment of today's republican party is akin to equating the Southern Democrats post civil war through the civil rights era of the 60's to today's democratic party. Fact is most Southern "Dixiecrats" Democrats defected to the Republican party which was more in-line with their politics.

OK that's one hospital and not many__and while it's mostly true that the hospital nor it's affiliates will accept Anthem products sold through the NH exchange it's not completely true.

The Concord Hospital emergency rooms will treat those Anthem policy holders and honor those policies. That hospital provided $38 million worth of community services (gratis) last year.

It's basically a pizzing match between Anthem and hospital's administration and it's understandable because there is no competition in that state and Anthem is trying to hose Concord Hospital.

Never the less, 16 of the states 26 acute general hospitals accept the Anthem exchange products as do 74% of the states primary care physicians and 85% of the states specialists.
