'War On Christmas' Talk Continues Right Up To Christmas Eve

One Republican running for Congress in 2014 said the recent kerfuffle over the rant about gays and non-Christian cultures by Phil Robertson, star of cable TV show "Duck Dynasty," was yet another sign of a national shift toward outright "persecution" of America's Christians.

"I don't believe it's gotten to the point yet," Ian Bayne told Talking Points Memo last week.

"But I do believe that Phil believes and I believe that we will wake up in an America where if you walk around with the bible you could be arrested," he said.

US broadcaster Fox News has reported extensively on the apparent "war on Christmas," producing an interactive map showing where Christmas has been given a bad rap.

But leading televangelist and preacher Joel Osteen went on Fox News Sunday and poured cold water on the theory.

"I think there are certain groups that would like to" take the religious meaning out of Christmas, but "I'm probably not as concerned about it as some others," Osteen said.

"Not everybody believes like me," he added. "We're not all Christians in this nation.

no, we are NOT. and we have just as much right to insult Christians as FOX has a right to get away with talking BS.

Religious Conservatives Thrown Into A Frenzied Panic After Court Won’t Impose Biblical Law

After a federal court ruling overturned Utah’s ban on same-sex marriage on Thursday, the Republican theocratic party went berserk and immediately filed an emergency motion for a temporary stay the next day; likely because it was inconceivable that a federal court would curtail the Mormon’s right to impose the bible as law. It is likely that Utah Republicans, especially Governor Gary Herbert (R), denounced the decision and threatened the federal court that he intended to appeal the ruling because it violated his Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) dogma forbidding one class of people from marrying the person they love. Directly following the ruling, same-sex couples rushed to the country clerk’s office to procure marriage licenses and enjoy the same rights as couples of the opposite sex. The ruling was another case of a powerful religious organization practiced in demonizing and punishing an entire class of Americans seeing their dominance shot down by the United States Constitution that would have made Founding Father Thomas Jefferson celebrate.

Speaking of Christians__37 Christian's killed in Iraq yesterday and double that wounded in two sectarian attacks targeting a church and a restaurant where Christians gather.

I guess no one ever explained sectarian unrest to BushCo. Oh wait, both Germany and France did while explaining why they wanted nothing to do with invading Iraq.

Somewhere between 400,000 and 600,000 Christians remain in Iraq.

Nope. Although I'd like to see it I'm not dumb enough to to think it will happen. I, like most of the people I know, just setting in idle waiting for the disaster to go back to Chicago. Plus the fact that half the country would be burned down if it happened. I will however keep my eyes open to any move to circumvent the constitution more than already has been done.

During the 3-1/2 years of World War 2 that started with the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor in December 1941 and ended with the Surrender of Germany and Japan in 1945, the U.S. produced 22 aircraft carriers, 8 battleships, 48 cruisers, 349 destroyers, 420 destroyer escorts, 203 submarines, 34 million tons of merchant ships, 100,000 fighter aircraft, 98,000 bombers, 24,000 transport aircraft, 58,000 training aircraft, 93,000 tanks, 257,000 artillery pieces, 105,000 mortars, 3,000,000 machine guns, and 2,500,000 military trucks. We put 16.1 million men in uniform in the various armed services, invaded Africa, invaded Sicily and Italy, won the battle for the Atlantic, planned and executed D-Day, marched across the Pacific and Europe, developed the atomic bomb and ultimately conquered Japan and Germany. It's worth noting, that during the almost exact amount of time, the Obama administration couldn't build a functioning web site.

Bwhahahahahaha!!!!!!!!

You must have been ecstatic when Bush left office because he actually nearly burnt this country to ashes.

Unlike your fantasies about Obama, what Bush did to this country was real.

Have you considered maybe, just maybe Fox and Friends were discussing Christmas is because it is the Christmas season? In your mind they would have been more with it if they were discussing Thanksgiving or maybe Labor Day, or president nobama's birthday?
