DUI is not an indicator of alcohol abuse broken down by race. And it is called alcohol use disorder not alcoholism now.
Although in the past year, American Indians and Alaska Natives were less likely than persons of other racial backgrounds to have used alcohol (60.8% vs. 65.8%), they were more likely to have an alcohol use disorder (10.7% vs. 7.6%). For illicit drug use, however, in the past year, American Indians and Alaska Natives were more likely than persons of other racial backgrounds both to have used an illicit drug (18.4% vs. 14.6%) and to have an illicit drug use disorder (5.0% vs. 2.9%).

Insured Americans Blame Obamacare for Higher Premiums
The Fiscal Times By Brianna Ehley

The compromised rollout of Obamacare continues while the Obama administration continues to deal with a growing public relations nightmare.

Many insured Americans – those people who were supposed to be unaffected by the new law, according to the White House – are now saying their health insurance policies will be more expensive next year because of Obamacare.

Related: The Many Disrupted Lives Under Obamacare

A new Associated Press-GfK poll found that nearly half of Americans with employer-based insurance say their plans will be changing for the worst – and 77 percent say its Obamacare’s fault.

Millions of women thus will not receive contraceptive coverage without cost-sharing through the Mandate. Having granted so many exemptions already, the Government cannot show a compelling interest in denying one to these plaintiffs. "
The exemptions passed out by this admin is the biggest threat they are facing in court when challenged.
I noticed the same. This boy hands out exemptions to his union buddies on many things and not just with Obamacare. He also hands out exemptions to his buddies in Renewable Energy farces. To wit: I just read yesterday that the EPA is handing out exemptions to Wind Turbine Operators for killing millions of birds annually in the blades.

This boy is an American embarrassment.

As the clock begins to wind down, nervous White House officials are acknowledging they can’t stick to existing Obamacare deadlines while still enrolling enough people to make the program financially viable. Their challenge has been compounded by continuous problems with the troubled Healthcare.gov website.

Earlier this month, the administration pushed back the deadline from Dec 15 to Dec 23 for signing up for insurance coverage that would take effect Jan 1. But even that change already is giving way to a series of exceptions that will grant people even more time to enroll and pay their premiums – or even just part of the premium if they are scrounging for money.

Related: More Delays Plague Obamacare’s Rollout

Under this new, seemingly desperate approach announced on Thursday by Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, people who have had problems signing up for insurance through the new federal or state operated exchanges will be allowed to enroll after the deadline and still qualify for coverage effective at the start of the new year. Moreover, consumers who haven’t yet paid their first monthly premiums – essential to activating their new policies -- will have until at least the end of this year and possibly beyond.

Associated Press By STEPHEN OHLEMACHER

WASHINGTON (AP)— The Internal Revenue Service has been doing business with nearly 1,200 vendors that owe back taxes, including one unnamed contractor that owed a whopping $525 million, a new inspector general's report says.

Altogether, 1,168 IRS vendors owed back taxes totaling $589 million as of July 2012, according to the report released Tuesday. Only 50 were in a payment plan to pay off their debt.

"When the IRS conducts business with vendors that do not comply with federal tax laws, it conveys a contradictory message in relation to its mission to ensure compliance with the tax laws," said J. Russell George, Treasury inspector general for tax administration.

Maybe the Post Office should be put in charge.

While Parnes is shown laughing uproariously, her own right hand appears to be blocking Biden's from roaming northward into 'War On Women' territory.

"fair share" is a Marxist Magic Negro term used to inflame the ignorant masses to which you slavishly belong.
The top 10 percent of income earners paid 71 percent of all federal income taxes in 2009.
Let *them* tell you all about the Magic Negro's word game.
Keep making your "fair share" of stupid, uninformed and ignorant remarks.
Yea, yea, yea. And those same reports claim that the 10% only "earned 43 percent of all income".....ignoring the FACT that that "43 percent" is based on their "adjusted" gross income after tax loopholes, breaks and..... cheating.

Did you know that a 2008 law "to promote the development of electric cars" qualified some golf carts for a credit of up to $6,500 in 2009? Thank you Mr. Bush.

Or, that 2008 law which provided a substantial tax credit for first-time homebuyers and which, of course, did not apply to taxpayers who already owned homes or had substantial income was abused by some of those in the top 10? They just had their minor children buy homes in order to get the credit. The Obama administration closed that loophole in 2009 but not before the 10% took advantage of it.

Then, of course, we have the private equity "fund managers" paying capital gains tax rates on their management fees and parents getting a child care credit on part of the cost of boarding school.

So, don't give me that bull about the top 10% paying their fair share. It's a Republican lie.

It's fascinating (in a discouraging way) what's happened to education in American since Carter handed it to the feds. Makes one feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing the same thing will happen to health care.
The word "reform" is taboo among the left.

Eliminating waste and duplication is the unthinkable.

Education and health care is circling the drain.

Talking with an American Liberal is quite often like talking to a stray dog.

Note that I said "with" and "to".

After the first minute or two, it quickly becomes apparent that talking "with" a Liberal is impossible because of their mindset of superiority and you are then left with the lesser act of just talking "to" them.

Ignorance, paired with arrogance, makes a Liberal a stray dog hungry for whatever it is that you own.

A child in the first grade knows how abundant and important farming is in the U.S..
It's time to end farm subsidies.

"Conservation Subsidies. USDA conservation programs dispense about $3 billion annually to the nation’s farmers. The largest conservation subsidy program is the Conservation Reserve Program, which was created in 1985 to idle millions of acres of farmland. Under CRP, farmers are paid not to grow crops, but to cultivate ground cover such as grass or trees on retired acres. A large share of land idled under the CRP is owned by retired farmers, thus one does not even have to be a working farmer to get these subsidies."

"Although policymakers love to discuss the plight of the small farmer, the bulk of federal farm subsidies goes to the largest farms. For example, the largest 10 percent of recipients have received 72 percent of all subsidy payments in recent years. Numerous large corporations and even some wealthy celebrities receive farm subsidies because they are the owners of farmland. It is landowners, not tenant farmers or farm workers, who benefit from subsidies. And one does not even have to be the owner of farmland to receive subsidies: Since 2000 the USDA has paid $1.3 billion in farm subsidies to people who own land that is no longer used for farming.

I say good, F Oblama the destroyer:

WASHINGTON -- Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Tuesday that the nation's debt limit won't be raised unless Republicans can extract concessions from Democrats and President Barack Obama.

The borrowing limit, which was suspended until Feb. 7, 2014, as part of the deal to end the government shutdown in the fall, stands at about $17.2 trillion. The Treasury Department estimates that without a hike, it can keep paying the nation's bills only until sometime in March.

The budget agreement that passed the House overwhelmingly last week and is set for passage in the Senate -- likely on Wednesday -- would also require a boost in the debt ceiling in order to carry out the spending that it mandates. But McConnell said Republicans would not allow that.
