Oprah got her paycheck so now she's slipping up and showing her true color(s).

She's been a racist pig from day one but the quick buck kept her big lips tight.

Years back, I read her correctly and all of her actions since then have only reaffirmed my belief in her racist ways. A racist with money is a dangerous thing. A racist with power is, too.

Oprah and the Magic Negro are both in positions to do great damage.

Let's see...what we can talk about now?

Obama meeting with health insurers CEOs? Hoping now they will save his you-know-what after calling them "bad apples" for three years?

Sounds familiar. Same phenomenon is happening to Republicans. We're like the Calvary all of a sudden.

Obama could have gotten the main things he wanted if he and the Democrats had just allowed Republicans to help them sort it out before they insisted on screwing it up royally first.

Why did Obama and Democrats do that?

32 days!!!!!

this is where we see how smart Progressives are!

"This means that the insurance companies have 32 days to reprogram their computer systems for policies, rates, and eligibility, send notices to the policyholders via US Mail, send a very complex letter that describes just what the differences are between specific policies and Obamacare compliant plans, ask the consumer for their decision — and give them a reasonable time to make that decision — and then enter those decisions back into their systems without creating massive billing, claim payment, and provider eligibility list mistakes."

Maybe it's time we started healing old wounds with some levity and humor? Now that Obama has destroyed any hope of liberalism taking hold and the liberals' dream of hope and change for a while?
Let's all just put the ugly past behind us. Whaddya say?
"Let's all just put the ugly past behind us." so that we can begin putting the ugly present and 3 more years future behind us, too.

Well, no, can't even do a job on the big ones with clippers. Why I have to get pedicures now.

Just hate the part where they scrub the bottom of your feet. The rest of it is pretty nice.

The Daily Beast on Monday produced a shrill attack on the Tea Party titled
“How the Tea Party’s Apocalyptic Politics Are Destroying the Republican Party.”
Author Joe McLean announced his premise in the subheading:“Tea Party leaders view themselves as modern prophets of the end of times, ratcheting up their rhetoric to prove that Obama is evil and God is on their side.”
What followed was an attempt to demonize Tea Party leaders as the sort of apocalyptic prophets who most people consider crazy. McLean painted a picture of wild-eyed, dangerous right-wing fanatics through lines like this:
Yet the Tea Party is willing to defy overwhelming negative public opinion, wreck the government, risk plunging the world economy into chaos and invite political defeat. The driving force behind this destructive strategy is that Tea Party zealots answer to a "higher calling."
In an attempt to tie Tea Party leaders to the Biblical end-of-times world view, McLean excerpted this quote from Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kansas),“The biggest war being waged right now is against our religious liberties and traditional values.” He also excerpted this line from House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.),“The fight for religious freedom starts here at home because we are one nation under God.”

Guess I've been silly enough for one night. Just had to take a break from the insanity for a while.

It's getting better than a soap opera though. I don't watch them but can't wait for each new day to see the next Obamacare episode.

But may I just take this opportunity to tell my liberal friends that tomorrow is a brand new day and this, too, shall pass? Even this confusing time of disappointment and disillusionment.
It's always darkest just before the dawn, and we'll all get through this together and come out better people on the other side.
Who knows? Maybe this might be just what we needed to find some common ground and look for better solutions.
So be positive and be brave. It'll be over soon and the dust will be wiped from your eyes.
I hope this helped.
You'd make a great Florence Nightingale walking amongst the dying Liberals in an Obamacare train wreck.

Yes, should've pointed that out too.

Have a feeling it isn't going to take three years to put the ugly past and present behind us.

By March or April, the proof will be in the pudding. Hope it's chocolate. But it'll be do or die by then.

Smoking and ACA...

"Does that really make sense? Shouldn't it be reversed? Charge higher penalties/taxes to younger smokers as they will potentially have more years to cost society in lost production and "free" health care.

Charge older retired or retiring smokers lower penalties/taxes, encourage them to keep smoking and die sooner. After all, at their age, the older smokers are no longer contributing. The sooner they die, the less they cost the rest of us."
