WHO PAYS THE INCOME TAXES IN AMERICA? The list of Democrats complaining the ... We are going to take back America in 2012.~~~~~~~~~ Exclusive ...
allow me to share some enlightening data on who pays what income tax in the United States. We have a progressive (or regressive if you choose to look it the tax code correctly) in 2009, the latest available figures on income tax collection:
• The top 1%(1.4 million) paid 40.42% on income of $2.8 trillion.
• The top 2.5%( 5.65 million) paid 20.2%
• The top 5%( 7 million) paid 60%
• The top 10% paid 71.2% of all income taxes on income of $4.227 trillion.
Collected taxes :$794 billion

Well, Gee Whiz: Using 2007 figures, the top 1% owns 42 Percent Of The Nations Wealth. The next 4% owns 27% of the Nation's Wealth. The next 5% owns 11% of the Nation's Wealth and the next 10% owns 12% of the Nation's Wealth. Leaving the bottom 80 percent of tax payers owning only 7 percent of the nation's wealth. Heck, if the top 10% only paid 71.2% of all income taxes....they didn't pay enough!!

The bottom 80% are getting screwed.... especially given the fact that the top 1 Percent owns half of the countrys stocks, bonds, and mutual funds which are taxed at a lower rate. 39.4% is owned by the 90-99% and 50-90% owns 9.3%.

They will be OK.

Due to the "Cost-sharing reductions" covered under the ACA, the really needy won't have to pay much in co-pays if they have the silver plan which pays 70 percent of covered medical expenses. Cost-sharing will pick up the difference...depending on income.

"A family of four whose income is between 100 and 150 percent of the federal poverty level ($23,550 to $35,325) will be responsible for paying 6 percent of covered expenses out-of-pocket compared with the 30 percent that a family not getting subsidized coverage would owe in a silver plan."

Yet Lois thinks it's the Democrats who keep bringing up abortion!
She's convinced herself that Obamaphones are being handed out like candy! I wish she'd go and try to apply for welfare or foodstamps!
Then she'd have a rude awakening. I don't know what the income threshold is but it's pretty low and you can't own a car or have any assets. If people lie about it and get caught, they go to jail. I read the comments on that article on the homeless guy who turned in $850 he found in NJ; no one claimed it so it was his. It was counted as income and so his benefits were cut. He should have just kept the money and shut up about it. Some of those vets talking about trying to get help said they're only getting $16.00 a month in foodstamps and she thinks they're living large. It's sickening.
Another Vietnam vet attempted suicide this morning in FTL, they want to deport him and he's in his 50's. How can you be deported if you've served this country in war? Lots of messed up shyt goes on when you're poor; they have no clue how tough it is.
The issue of abortion seems to have divided the Republican Party in 2013 to a far greater extent than in the past.
Interesting will be the Republican division on immigration?

credit defaults--can you say Clinton? Larry Summers? come on you certainly know that Hillary Clinton's friend, Brooksley Born, who worked for President Clinton blew the horn on the credit defaults (among other problems) and Clinton threw her to the curb.

Independent Contractor Defined
People such as doctors, dentists, veterinarians, lawyers, accountants, contractors, subcontractors, public stenographers, or auctioneers who are in an independent trade, business, or profession in which they offer their services to the general public are generally independent contractors. However, whether these people are independent contractors or employees depends on the facts in each case. The general rule is that an individual is an independent contractor if the payer has the right to control or direct only the result of the work and not what will be done and how it will be done. The earnings of a person who is working as an independent contractor are subject to Self-Employment Tax.
If you are an independent contractor, you are self-employed. To find out what your tax obligations are, visit the Self-Employed Tax Center.
You are not an independent contractor if you perform services that can be controlled by an employer (what will be done and how it will be done). This applies even if you are given freedom of action. What matters is that the employer has the legal right to control the details of how the services are performed.
If an employer-employee relationship exists (regardless of what the relationship is called), you are not an independent contractor and your earnings are generally not subject to Self-Employment Tax.
However, your earnings as an employee may be subject to FICA (Social Security tax and Medicare) and income tax withholding.
"If you pay independent contractors, you may have to file Form 1099-MISC, Miscellaneous Income, to report payments for services performed for your trade or business. IF ALL FOUR OF THE FOLLOWING conditions are met, you must generally report a payment as nonemployee compensation.

You made the payment to someone who is not your employee;
You made the payment for services in the course of your trade or business (including government agencies and nonprofit organizations);
You made the payment to an individual, partnership, estate, or in some cases, a corporation; and
You made payments to the payee of at least $600 during the year."

<quoted text>I get tired of pointing out what an uneducated sloth you are: first of all I do not believe in Western medicine, it would be futile (or in smaller terms for you) of no value to me to reside in a country that offers myself, your 'so called free' health care system. Second you are so ignorant you think health care is 'free'. In Costa Rica every employee pays over 9% of their pay and the employer matches another 27% of that employee's pay, for the 'free' heath care system. Now this is where is gets real fun, pointing out the greatness of the Socialist health care system in Costa Rica: It is broke. And because it is broke, many people will die waiting in line because the hospitals cannot service them. Last year alone over 10 thousand people were waiting for biopsies that were still waiting this year.
Now does this ring a bell: Costa Ricas labor landscape has also changed, with larger numbers of migrant workers and freelancers that feed a thriving informal sector that now makes up an estimated 40 percent of the Costa Rican workforce, who all receive care from la Caja. The same will be true in the United States and your precious illegal aliens, they will kill the health care system and you libs know it. But then again you think it will never affect you, same thing the Costa Rican people thought--they are now screwed paying an abhorrent amount from their salaries and still no health care. The Health care system only allows for emergencies for certain hours: Hospital de Alajuela, the nearest public hospital to the capitals international airport, has slashed its emergency-room hours due to budget troubles.
So you see--this is exactly the out look for the O'bama care system. It will leave people dying in the streets and begging for care to be what is was, before the democrats and O'bama and his big fricking deal O'biden decided to transform care. There won't be any, except for the weathy-the same is true in Costa Rica, if you need care-you go to a private doctor or a private hospital and pay cash.
In case you didn't know usaignorant one: thousands of Americans travel every year to Costa Rica for doctor care and dental care, it is about 1/4 of the cost--and they pay cash.
Now there is your lesson for today--I suspect you could not comprehend any of it.
Oh, you are a confused one aren't you?

On one hand you say: "And because it is broke, many people will die waiting in line because the hospitals cannot service them. Last year alone over 10 thousand people were waiting for biopsies that were still waiting this year."

And, on the other: "Thousands of Americans travel every year to Costa Rica for doctor care and dental care, it is about 1/4 of the cost--and they pay cash."

The falsified inspection reports which MMS officials carried out on behalf of oil companies occurred under Bush (the usual GOP catering to the corporate rich). And it led to safety oversights which created the spill.

Not only did Obama not give BP any award, he forced them to put aside billions for damages. And made the BP CEO publicly apologize outside the White House.
