“If I make it that long I’ll pay the $95 or whatever fine and I’m just going to let nature take its course,” he said.

Which is the point I was making. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and still fit under the same tent without being diminished or a part of a "tiny religious cult".
You and I agree on these issues but you don't consider yourself as part of a "tiny religious cult" for not agreeing with Galt, do you?
Galt can disagree with both of us without saying these kinds of things which seem a bit irrational to me.
It shouldn't matter if we disagree on certain issues if we're all still under the same tent...should it?
Galt is making it more of an issue out of it than it really is in the whole scheme of things.
As much as I and others would like to see Roe v Wade reversed, it's not going to happen in one election cycle. It doesn't mean I and others still can't take a stand against it without being marginalized by other conservatives for doing so. Does it?
"carol"
"Galt" is "Galt" and he has the right to his opinions and thoughts, just as you do. Abortion/murder is going to continue, so is gay marriage. I am anti both. Little we can do about it, the Supreme Court has ensured that. Our voices would be much better heard if we spend our efforts at speaking out about nobamakare, something that is not yet set in stone, something nearly 60% of American's do not support. nobamakare is a lie, the president nobama lies when he supports it, nobama has one goal in mind, single payer, government controlled health care. A program designed to take from the doers and producers and give to those with their hands out.
Carter was a terrible president, Bush 2 not much better, Bush 1 and clinton were not so bad, but all of them were sterling when compared to nobama, a born liar.

That icon of liberalism (according to tea baggers) CBS 60 mins made a mistake on the story about the Benghazi attack. "The most important thing to every person at 60 Minutes is the truth, and today the truth is we made a mistake," Ms Logan told a CBS morning news programme on Friday.

"Nobody likes to admit they made a mistake, but if you do, you have to stand up and take responsibility and you have to say that you are wrong. And in this case, we were wrong."

Meanwhile Fox news claimed they were right all along with their speculation about this story constantly referencing the 60 mins report from CBS. But at least Fox News get to keep their record intact. That is being wrong on all their breaking news 100% of the time. That record is in safe hands!

Carter was a success story compared to your chimp. I mean, COME ON... national debt under Carter =.9 trillion. Under Bush = 11.4 trillion. You do know how to read big numbers, don't you? Maybe not.

If I were to ask exactly what Carter did to make things so bad, there's no question in my mind you couldn't answer in detail off the top of your head.

You'd have to run to some rightwing hate site and cut n paste like crazy. Then pray I don't see through the bull.

Because that's what Galt posted. It didn't make any sense to me.
All Christians aren't "evangelical", conservatives who are pro-life aren't "economic liberals", and all conservatives whether pro-life or pro-choice have a mutual interest in fighting high taxes and big government.
So I just didn't get where he was coming from.
"Carol"
You are right all Christians are not "evangelical" but "evangelical" Christians, for the most part, are tax and spend liberals, spending for handouts. They are touchie feelie folks. It is their right. We do not need generations of those with their hands out, we need folks who get out, work, produce and take care of their own.

Galt has not visited the federal website, only the Covered California site.....when one drills down there to the cost, it is immediately evident that the insurance coverage is extremely expensive...approaching #2,000 per month for an older couple who are not on welfare...
the fraud is publicizing the bronze and silver plans, which are miserable coverage, rather than the platinum plan, which is the only one that even approaches the coverage that most people have...
I check on Covered California to verify your "quote" and (surprise) couldn't.

For a couple, both 55 years old earning $100,000 a year, the highest coverage (in which EACH person has 3+ prescriptions a year plus 20+ Doctor visits a year and multiple ongoing lab tests and hospital stays), the premium is $1107.00 a month for a zero deductible family plan. I suggest you take another look.

Now you are being dishonest. I am Roman Catholic and do not apologize for that fact. But I challenge you to bring up a post where I support abortion/murder or gay marriage. Just one. I have better things to do. You are wrong again when you say I do not recognize the Socialist nature of my church. I would far rather give monies to my church rather than the Federal government, I see the results of our giving to folks in need. I see no positives from the dollars taken from citizens that are pissed away on failed social, fill their hands programs. Those programs do just one thing, build on the sit on your fannie mantra that far to many American's depend on.

John Galt wrote:
A new Gallup poll brings more terrible news for President Obama and his signature health plan, showing that only 22% of uninsured Americans intend to buy insurance through the ObamaCare exchanges.
One of the major selling points for using ObamaCare to disrupt our health care system (that polls showed up to 80% of Americans were satisfied with) was to insure the uninsured. But according to this poll, only a very small minority of that small minority is even interested in obtaining insurance.
Even more troubling is the realization that a month ago, that number was double; a full 44% of the uninsured said they would purchase insurance though the exchanges.
Over the course of a month, however, the reality of ObamaCare scared off half of that 44%. The high cost of premiums, the high deductibles customers have to pay regardless of any tax subsidy, and the unforgivable bungling of the rollout only discouraged those who we blew up a perfectly good health care system to help.
The worse news is that you can bet that the 22% who do intend to sign up are made up of the oldest and sickest among the uninsured. Meanwhile, the 78% who are uninterested in being insured are likely the youngest and healthiest.
This means a sicker and older pool of enrollees, which means higher premiums for a couple hundred million Americans who were perfectly satisfied with what they had--that is, before President Obama, Democrats, and the media decided what was best for us.
As of now, the poll shows only 18% of the uninsured have even tried to visit a marketplace website.
When you look at the nearly 4 million Americans who have already had their insurance cancelled, the low enrollment numbers we have seen so far, and combine that with the website problems, sticker shock, and overall disgust, it is not out inconceivable to speculate that by this time next year, ObamaCare will have caused the number of uninsured in America to increase.
FYI, no one has paid attention to a Gallop poll since they predicted Romney's win.

Fox News Ethics:
Immediately following the 60 Minutes broadcast, conservative media assembled a victory parade to congratulate themselves for having leaped to the front of the Benghazi Hoax and to celebrate their vindication by the establishment news authority at CBS. As might be expected, Fox News lead the parade with more than 47 minutes of reporting (that’s three times the length of the original CBS report) on eleven different programs on just the day after 60 Minutes aired. Some of the applause the Benghazi Hoax-sters handed out to themselves included…

Bret Baier (Fox News): Last night, one of journalism’s heavy hitters reaffirmed what we knew and had reported on.
Steve Doocy (Fox News): It’s great that mainstream media finally catching up.[...] 60 Minutes doesn’t cover phony scandals.
Martha MacCallum (Fox News): Now 60 Minutes, the venerable Sunday night news program, is putting a lot of focus on this story. Here at Fox News we’ve been covering this story for a very long time.
John Hayward (Human Events):’60 Minutes’ ran a report on the Benghazi scandal Sunday night that confirmed its status as an enduring scandal with many questions still remaining to be answered.
Pamela Geller (Atlas Shrugs): Over a year after the murderous attack, finally, media is talking straight about Benghazi.
Jim Hoft (Gateway Pundit):’60 Minutes’ Finally Reveals Benghazi Was a Real Scandal & You Were Lied To.
Monica Crowley (Fox News): Solid 60Minutes piece on Benghazi. CBSNews & FoxNews among the very, very few reporting on this grave & outrageous scandal.
Dan Gainor (Media Research Center/NewsBusters): 60 Minutes piece on Benghazi shows how much admin has lied and hidden facts on deadly disaster. Blame Obama AND Hillary.
Jonah Goldberg (National Review): This 60 Minutes Benghazi piece corroborates pretty much everything FoxNews has reported so far.

As it turns out, the only thing the 60 Minutes report confirmed is the deceit at the heart of right-wing media. Everyone who jumped at the chance to laud CBS for its alleged truth-telling is now egg-faced since the esteemed source of their validation has crumbled in an embarrassing journalistic flop.
