The left would have latched on that like a horny octopus and made Romney their abortion hero.
Taking a firm stand with as few words as possible is the better response..."I am now for life."
What could a moderator say after that?
I'd say, "Tell it to the 4,000 dead GIs who died for the Republican War-by-Lies in Iraq".

Think you underestimate the intelligence of pro-choice conservatives and moderate Democrats.

Simply stating "I am for life" leaves no room for biased interpretation. Pro-choice Americans appreciate life. They are alive, too, after all.

That statement could also sway moderate Democrats and even some in the black community who are soul searching about their affiliation with a party who doesn't represent their values.

What's wrong with simply "I am for life"?

That's what Obama should have said to Pelosi, Reid and the rest of the democrats before passing a massive piece of legislation on strictly partisan lines affecting all Americans that could very well prove a disaster as we are finding out too late now.
But Pelosi loves surprises. And Obama hates to apologize.
Kind of embarrassing, isn't it?
Did Bush ever apologize for lying us into Iraq or wrecking the economy?

Well, my goodness...have you forgotten so easily the 111 Democrats who gave Bush the authority to use military force against Saddam because they, too, publicly stated numerous times under the Clinton administration that Saddam was, in fact, a clear and present danger not only to the U.S. but to the entire world and that a regime change was absolutely necessary...not to mention the UN believed that Saddam still had WMDs and the Democrats had been briefed by the same Intel as Bush and every civilized country in the world - that Saddam still had WMDs?

Or do you always have a biased short memory?

Weasels use deception as a defense mechanism for self-preservation.

Because it's hypocritical to some extent.

Where is all that wonderful compassion when it comes to helping the poor? Your side has always fought against providing workers a living wage and things like unemployment benefits and social security. You scoff at the idea of making healthcare available to all.

Face it. Yours is not the party of compassion. It is the party of the corporate bottom line. A leopard cannot change its spots.

Remember Baldwin saying that.

Just like GW Bush. Even die-hard liberals said publicly that he was very intelligent and articulated his views quite well with small groups - and was extremely warm and likeable.

Unfortunately, he just wasn't a good public speaker.

Google it champ. LOL. Anne Coulter? I guess you prefer Pelosi? Or maybe Cantwell?

The Russian comment was taken out of context as were most of the misrepresentations of the MSM. She referred to Russia as being on Alaska's doorstep since it's only 80 miles away at the closest point on the border of Alaska. I realize details for you can be so CONFUSING!

Helping the poor was never a priority of progressive liberalism. Big government and controlling the people using "bleeding heart" rhetoric was.

And it worked. You bought it just like many others throughout history who found themselves under the thumb of the power elite.

Everyone wants to help the poor. You're either stupid or brainwashed if you think otherwise.

But I'm done for now. I've done my best again today.

Looks like Lily adopted Realtime's favorite word - "gibberish".
Obama lied to the American people saying they could keep their insurance and their doctor..."gibberish" .
Millions of people are now without health care because of ACA..."gibberish".
More people are going to pay more for health insurance under ACA...
"gibberish".
A shortage of doctors and millions more seeking doctors means long waits and rationed care..."gibberish".
It's all gibberish.
Ok, decipher this post and guess who wrote it?

You were lied to by weasels.
We've been through this several times.

And I, for one, do not take kindly to weasels like yourself who continue to twist the truth even though you've been given the facts.

So once more:

In the Senate,

Republicans Ayes 48, Nays 1
Democrats Ayes 28, Nays 21

And in the House

Republicans Ayes 215, Nays 6
Democrats Ayes 82, Nays 126

Hence, the number of GOP Aye votes outnumbered Democrat votes by a total of 263 - 110.

And please, no more 1998 Clinton era quotes. Those opinions were reversed a year later when the weapon inspectors re-evaluated Iraq's capability.

The UN DID NOT BELIEVE Iraq possessed serious nuclear or bio-weapons programs in 1999, and this opinion did not change by 2003. I suggest you read Hans Blix' statements on this.

As a result of Bush and Cheney's orchestrated march to war, which the so-called "liberal" press accepted without question, Democrats were pressured into supporting the Administration's agenda.

You should remember that the so-called "intel" came from the Pentagon's Office of Strategic Plans, run by Cheney, where he vetted the CIA reports most supportive for war.

As the Iraq conflict dragged on and no WMDs were found, the Democrats naturally began to realize they'd been conned.

Ink this to your forehead so you don't forget.
