History shows that every recession and depression we've ever had was after an eight year reign by the Republicans...DUH..Blind minion.
Herbert Hoover had been the president eight months before the stock market crash and the subsequent Great Depression.
Ironically, the Hoover Administration's Reconstruction Finance Corporation - a government agency that provided $2 billion in emergency aid to state and local governments and businesses - was in many respects the forerunner of Obama's stimulus and achieved similar results.
Hoover's was a Republican failure. Obama's, a Democratic failure.
Then, of course, there's Carter's recession. He was a Democrat.
Bush turned the economy around after 9/11 within two years.
The housing market collapse occurred at the end of Bush's presidency. Democrats wanted everyone to buy a home they couldn't afford. Even with two wars, the economy and unemployment were doing fine until then.
It was Obama's job to turn the economic crisis around. But he didn't want a good crisis to go to waste. Enter Obamacare.
