Just one clarification, if I may. Jesus correctly was a Jew, but his father was neither black nor white. Pretty sure the God of the universe can pull off one immaculate conception. There's no particular color involved in the spirit realm.
(Just hope the secularists don't freak out now. They seem to think they're being forced to believe something just because millions of others do. Makes them very angry for some reason.)
Carol the truth is nobody really cares what you believe. You can hold to whatever tenets of faith that you want. That's the beauty of living in a secular country which this is. It's only when people like you try to force your beliefs on others that don't share them. You can for example believe that same sex marriage is immoral, that's your right, but when you try to enforce your beliefs on others and deny equal rights to working taxpaying citizens based on your beliefs then I will oppose you. The owners of Hobby Lobby have the right to believe that contraception is immoral but they do not have the right to impose their beliefs on their employees by denying such coverage in their insurance plans.
I personally take umbrage at someone like you who flaunts their "Christianity" but totally ignores the core of Christ's message which is social justice. And here you are claiming they don't exist?
As for healthcare, I guess you are saying cheapazz companies that offered health benefits before are now changing people to PT because they can now blame it on Obamacare & dumbasses like you will believe it.
I don't blame you for lying abut this. It has to be embarrassing for a person who b*tches here everyday about the "worthless" Americans getting subsidies when your job is subsidized.
Ouch-a-mundo
You are so full of it. The only thing you posted was some nebulous statement from one Senator referencing these mythical subsidies to the oil companies, but you have never been able to verify that reference, or find any proof that these mythical subsidies to oil companies exist.

So, post the evidence that these subsidies to oil companies exist.
It's easy to find evidence for subsidies to farmers and the auto industry, and many others. But, for some reason, you have been unable to find any evidence that these mythical subsidies to the oil industry exist.
Like I always say to the television when there is one of those ghosts-are-real programs on: Show me the ghost.

Show me the subsidies to the oil companies.

The nation’s big three news networks are falling right into place for President Obama and the Democrats, blaming the Republican Party for the government shutdown by a whopping 21-0 story count.

According to a survey by the conservative media watchdog Media Research Center, in 39 stories during the two weeks leading up to the shutdown, CBS, ABC and NBC blamed the failure to cut a budget deal on the Republicans 21 times, both parties four times, and Democrats zero times. In 14 stories, nobody was to blame.

Democrats continue their government shutdown

Harry Reid refuses to even allow any discussion in the Senate of multiple bills passed by the House and sent to the Senate to allow functions in the federal government to resume operations. These multiple bills would allow, among other functions, the VA and national parks to continue operations.
Obama is doing his part in keeping the government shutdown unrealistically inconvenient to the population by selectively spending money to barricade certain monuments in DC, and not barricade others. To spit in the World War II veterans' faces, Obama spent the money to barricade the World War II memorial, while leaving the other memorials and monuments in DC unbarricaded.
Yeah. Like some wannabe thugs working for Obama will stop the people who fought up the beaches of Tarawa, Saipan, Iwo Jima, Normandy, and fought through the jungles of Guadalcanal, New Guinea, Bougainville, and slugged it out with the Germans at Bastogne, and engaged the suicidal Japanese in face-to-face combat on Okinawa, and stood up to the thousands of kamikazes, from visiting some monument erected to them in honor of their sacrifice, fortitude, and victory.

However, the Obama monument to the Al Qaeda 9/11 terrorists was open for business...(that would be the White House).

143-year-old law has Washington treading gingerly during shutdown

Lawmakers feel fenced in by an 1870 law.

Administration officials now live in fear of a 19th-century law that could get them fired, penalized or even imprisoned if they make the wrong choices while the government is shut down.

The law is the Antideficiency Act, passed by Congress in 1870 (and amended several times), which prohibits the government from incurring any monetary obligation for which Congress has not appropriated funds.

In shutting down the government, most memos cite the law as the reason. The Government Accountability Office says employees who violate the Antideficiency Act may be subject to disciplinary action, suspension and even "fines, imprisonment, or both."

CNBC has learned that in several executive branch departments, high-level staff members review individual decisions about what government activities to allow for fear of running afoul of the Antideficiency Act. One White House official said he has advised his employees not to check their email or cellphones. Under the act, even volunteering for government service is expressly prohibited.

In a memo to his department employees today, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew cited the law as the reason for reduced staffing.

"For the duration of this impasse, as required by the Antideficiency Act and directed by OMB, the Department will be required to operate with only the minimal staffing level necessary to execute only certain legally exempted activities," Lew wrote.

The only exemptions to the shutdown concern "emergencies involving the safety of human life or the protection of property," according to government documents. That has meant airports and the Postal Service are open, Social Security checks get paid and federal prisons and courts will operate as normal as do most national security functions including the military and the Central Intelligence Agency. But national parks and museums are closed along with big parts of the departments of Education and Commerce

Congress passed the law as part of a struggle—dating back to the nation's founding—for control over the power of the purse. Some presidents, such as Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War, would incur obligations for which Congress had to appropriate funds after the fact.

What is ironic is that Congress in shutting down the government has to at least to some extent given up the power of the purse to the executive branch. Under the broad guidelines of what constitutes an emergency or threat to life or property, OMB now more or less decides what gets funded and what doesn't. But that latitude is limited by the fear of officials that, sometime after the event, a given decision is found to have been in violation of the Antideficiency Act.

This is what the Democrats have become. No integrity.

Harry Reid will say anything. This is nothing new. For example, do you recall this not too long ago?

Obama Is The King God Has Given To Reign Over America In The Last Days

“And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them…Now therefore hearken unto their voice…and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.”
1 Samuel 8

God sets up kings, and takes them down

The bible clearly teaches that it is God and not man who appoints rulers over the affairs of men:

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” Romans 13:1

All through the bible we see God set up kings for a purpose, and take them down for a purpose. Sometimes God raises up a ruler to bless His people, like He did with King David. And sometimes He sets up a ruler by whom the people will be judged, as He did with Saul. But God does not only set up kings over His own people, He sets up kings over all people. Such was the case with Pharaoh of Egypt:

“For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.” Romans 9:17

The story of Pharaoh and the Red Sea

Now, the story of Pharaoh and the people of Egypt is a great story because for a long, long time Egypt prospered under the rule of Pharaoh like no nation on earth ever had before them. They were the America of the ancient world. Egypt grew in size and wealth and in might and in power till no other nation could stand against them.

Just taking a casual glance on the outside of Egypt you would think that they had God’s blessing, but they did not. Egypt was a wicked, godless nation who enslaved the Jews for four centuries, and made human sacrifices to their gods. And after 400 long years of oppressing God’s chosen people, God’s patience and long-suffering had come to an end.

So God raised up Moses…

“And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.” Exodus 3:15

We all know the story of how God called Moses to be the leader of the Jews. To lead them first out of the land of Egypt, and then into the land of Promise – Israel! Moses obeyed God and went and confronted Pharaoh and preached to him what God told him to say. Now, when God commissioned Moses to preach to Pharaoh, He knew full well that Pharaoh would ultimately reject what Moses would tell him. But just as God raised up Moses to preach, God also raised up Pharaoh to be preached to.

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.” Exodus 11:9

…and God raises up Pharaoh

Now God had also raised up Pharaoh to be a mighty king. But Pharaoh’s heart was wicked and would not obey the servant of the Lord. So there came a day, when God was about to free the Jews from slavery, that God also used Pharaoh for a mighty purpose. God, knowing that Pharaoh would never repent though he was given multiple opportunities to, used him and Moses to show the world the power of the God of Abraham. But this demonstration of power would have markedly and drastically outcomes.

“And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.” Exodus 14:17

God used Moses in a glorious way, replete with the miracle of the parting of the Red Sea. God used Pharaoh as part of the miracle of the Red Sea. In Moses He showed His power and glory by setting the Jews free in a way that would be retold throughout time for all eternity. In Pharaoh God showed His power and glory by drowning Pharaoh and his entire army when the walls of water came crashing back down. Both men raised up by God, both men put into their position of authority by God, with one man winding up in Heaven, and the other still burning in Hell.

“And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.” Exodus 14:27,28

What’s the take-away here? That God judged an entire nation for the wickedness of one man who refused to repent. Remember that.

America begins by trusting the Holy God of Israel

America, for every year since 1776, has done nothing but grow in might, in power and in strength and in wealth. We are, as many of us are fond of saying, the “greatest nation on the face of the earth.” We got our start with the Puritans who came over at the leading of God, and set up a brave, new nation. The first text book ever used in our schools and universities was the Holy Bible. James Madison said this:

“”We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all of our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind of self-government; upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God.”- James Madison

Wow, what a great start! A nation founded on submission to God and His commandments. But the story doesn’t end there..

As we grew as a nation, we became mighty like to no other nation to ever exist. And as we grew, we began to forget. We forgot that God had created us, had sustained us, had done such mighty deeds and demonstrations of His power to bless America. We sing “God Bless America”, our money says “In God We Trust”, but somewhere along the line we stopped trusting. We stopped seeking His face. We began to trust in our own strength.

God is removed, chaos ensues

World War II was the last time that the whole world was at war, and it was a war that we almost didn’t win. My father, Robert Grider, 2nd Lt. United States Air Force, Retired, used to tell me that “they will never teach in history class just how close we came to losing that war.” But we didn’t lose, we won. And after we won the war we did something God really liked. We recognized the right for the just-reborn baby nation of Israel to exist on May 14, 1948, and long-awaited bible prophecy was fulfilled in the rebirth of Israel. But in the very next generation we did something very, very bad. We turned away from God.

The 1960′s saw the removal of prayer from the public schools, the removal of the Ten Commandments from our court houses, sexual promiscuity, open homosexual abominations, and the rise of legal baby killing through abortion. The result of that was a drastic increase in violent crime, race riots in the streets, an entire generation of children hooked on drugs and alcohol, skyrocketing divorce rates, and public schools that needed armed police to keep order. We told God to go, and He did.

The harvest of bitter fruit

The Sixties were a long time ago, but the rotten seeds that were planted in that generation have come to full fruition in ours. In 2012 America, God’s name is still plastered all over everything, we have mega-churches with 20,000 in attendance but His Spirit and power are no longer there. We hold a National Day of Prayer, but it is powerless. Nothing changes. We have no final authority, the absolute Truth that guided and sustained the Puritans is something we know nothing of as a nation.

In 2013, we are a nation that is drowning in a debt so large that the numbers, nearly 20 trillion now, have no meaning. Each year nearly 400,000 babies are executed for convenience’s sake, and we elect leaders based on their not taking the ability to kill babies away from us. We have no respect for God’s word, Sunday is treated like any other day of the week. Even if we believe it, we dare not speak out loud that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven as the bible declares Him to be. We have lost the ability to discern between good and evil. We expose children to endless ads for alcohol and tobacco. Our society is saturated in sex and violent imagery. Nearly half of all the movies made in the last 10 years have a demonic theme to them. We wouldn’t know God if He showed up in any of our churches, and neither would we want Him to be there.

We are the American generation that has filled the cup of God’s indignation and wrath. So He gave us the king we deserved.

He gave us Barack Hussein Obama.

America gets a king

Barack Obama, 44th president of the United States of America. He is so enthusiastically in favor of sacrificing babies on the altar of Planned Parenthood that when he was a state senator he voted 3 times against the “Born-Alive Infants Protection Act”. The bill recognized babies born after attempted abortions as persons and required doctors to give them care.’ Obama voted to withhold that care. 3 times. Under his recently-passed Obamacare bill, abortion is now taxpayer-funded. That means that all America shares in the killing of these babies, their blood is upon all of us.
