Students taken to mosque, given copies of Koran, while a student who opted out was given a worksheet on Islamic tolerance that said Muslims treat conquered nations better than Americans treat minorities.

Comedian and civil rights activist Dick Gregory compared Wal-Mart to the leader of Nazi Germany at a "living wage" rally in front of the D.C. City Council on Tuesday.

"When you look at Hitler and those thugs, you can put Wal-Mart right next to them," Gregory said in his speech to the 150 or so people at the event. The crowd was gathered to protest D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray's veto of a bill that would have singled out the retail giant and forced it pay its employees $12.50 an hour.

Gregory was a surprise speaker at the event and an apparent last-minute addition. He followed his remarks with a rambling diatribe about the Navy Yard shootings Monday and the death of Trayvon Martin, among other subjects.

"They talk about America the beautiful! When did America get beautiful? Ask the Indians!" Gregory said.

His remarks quieted the previously cheering crowd. Perhaps sensing the protesters' restlessness, he returned the subject to minimum wage laws before handing the microphone back to event organizers.

It can be, but I have found that that motivation happens most often if the person is in a nursing home.

Galt believes that a medical power of attorney granted to a trusted person is far superior to a living will, providing far greater flexibility to deal with unforeseen circumstances.

In the wake of the horrific shooting at the Washington Navy Yard, one individual made an interesting point about yesterday's mass shooting at the Navy Yard in the nation's capital:

"I know a lot of people are concerned about guns these days, but you know if everybody had arms, then there wouldn't be these problems.

"My son was at Marine Barracks -- at the Navy Yard yesterday - and they had weapons with them, but they didn't have ammunition. And they said,'We were trained, and if we had the ammunition, we could've cleared that building.' Only three people had been shot at that time, and they could've stopped the rest of it."

The Navy Yard shooting brings up the legitimate issue of carrying - and using - firearms on military installations.

Back in 1993, the Clinton administration virtually declared military establishments "gun-free zones." As a result, the policy banned "military personnel from carrying their own personal firearms and mandates that 'a credible and specific threat against [Department of the Army] personnel [exist] in that region" before military personnel 'may be authorized to carry firearms for personal protection." Indeed, most military bases have relatively few military police as they are in heavy demand to serve in Iraq and Afghanistan," according to economist John Lott.

Additionally, Lott discovered that "every public shooting since at least 1950 in the U.S. in which more than three people have been killed has taken place where citizens are not allowed to carry guns."

The answer is simple. Murderers pick places where they know their victims will be unarmed. It's time we debate having concealed carry on military bases. After all, there's no evidence showing that firearms owners are more irresponsible than the police, as Wall Street Journal columnist John Fund noted back in December of 2012:

"According to a 2005 to 2007 study by researchers at the University of Wisconsin and Bowling Green State University, police nationwide were convicted of firearms violations at least at a 0.002 percent annual rate. That's about the same rate as holders of carry permits in the states with 'shall issue' laws."

That's a minor detail, right? That you're going to turn off the power to dozens of businesses without warning, on the 12-year anniversary of 9/11, on the hottest day of summer, two days after a deputy was stabbed inside Frank Murphy Hall of Justice? That's not worth mentioning?

OBAMA’S HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA
AND THE JEWS BEHIND IT
PRAISING HOMOSEXUAL AND LESBIAN ACTIVISTS, Obama spoke before the world’s largest gay rights political group, the Human Rights Campaign, on October 10, 2009.
Promising to “change America’s laws” and the “hearts and minds” of all Americans at the HRC’s Annual Dinner in Washington DC, Obama delivered the keynote address with a speech that drew an enthusiastic response.
ALL JEWS
The Human Rights Campaign has emerged as a powerful lobby, curried up to by Jews on Capitol Hill such as Diane Feinstein and Joseph Lieberman, funded by major corporations, and of course, given huge support by American Jewry.
In his speech, Obama gave his whole hearted support to the homosexual quest to destroy the American family, stating,“I’m here with you in your fight!” Obama said that those who disagreed with his homosexual agenda were simply wrong.“There’s still laws to change and there’s still hearts to open,” Obama told the group of deviant sex activists.
Declaring what NO former American President would ever say even in his wildest dreams, Obama, in an effort to DESTROY the traditional white Christian American family, promised that his presidency will help homosexuals, lesbians and transgenders. And by Obama redefining the meaning of the family, he furthers the disintegration of American society:
Diane Feinstein is not a Jew. She married one. She is a run of the mill liberal leftist feminist. And what you keep spewing is about liberals, they are liberals first, being Jewish never mattered to them. Those people are JINOs.

The authors of:
United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination,
have taken it upon themselves to change the Constitution of the United States. The high school textbook contains a summary of each Amendment that alters the initial intent in which they were created. The textbook notes the Second Amendment as,“The people have a right to keep and bear arms in a state militia.”

The actual Second Amendment reads,“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Liberals always have to lie to push their agenda.

Weather permitting, this morning's launch of a commercial spacecraft from Wallops Island could be visible from Hampton Roads.

Contrails and possibly stage-separation flames could be seen as Orbital Sciences' Antares rocket and Cygnus cargo craft head for the International Space Station, according to NASA. Launch is scheduled for 10:50 a.m. from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport on Wallops Island on the Eastern Shore, but it could be as late as 11:05 a.m.

Orbital said the exhaust from the rocket's first liquid-fuel stage probably will not be visible. "Most likely, if the vehicle can be seen at all during the first stage, it will look like a small bright dot with a small puff of smoke behind it," Orbital said in a statement.

The second stage uses solid fuel and should leave "a significant column of exhaust," the company said. The spacecraft will be about 500 miles away at that point, Orbital said, but, "it is possible that if the day is very clear the smoke left behind will be visible."

NASA said there is a 25 percent chance of low clouds at launch time.

Hey Liberals in here:

If guns are so bad why is Obama giving them to the Al Queda Syrian rebels, why?

Reagan gave guns to Nicaragua's Contras, Obama to Syria's Al Queda Rebels.

See? Liberals are brain dead hypocrites.
