Muslims are Americans and just as entitled to display their patriotism as anyone else. Unlike bikers, they will not disturb the peace.

I did not say the bikers were not patriotic but they are disrespectful of the districts ruling. It is only fitting that their disrespect be awarded with donations to the district's coffers by way of fines.

Hi flack.
Amazing, isn't it?

This Keystone Cop-like administration, with the aid of an extremely sympathetic media, is able to take a gaffe by Kerry and turn it into justification for Obama's Nobel Peace Prize.

I'd never seen a president covered in Teflon until 1/21/2009. Obama (and his party's policies) is held accountable for NOTHING negative.

Instead we're told he's aware of all the problems, can't do a damn thing about them because of (fill in the blank), and his 5+ year campaign/fund raiser continues.

Incredible.

Hi flack.
Obama and team fumbled the case for action (or future action against hostile acts by countries like Iran) by promising only a “shot across the bow,” then proposing a resolution without limits.

Their failure to be clear, even in classified briefings, has cost them support from some members who were willing to buck negative public opinion.

So Obama’s reluctance to lead is matched by a world and nation reluctant to follow him.

Heckuva job, Mr. President.

But say this for Barack Obama: He’s got a gift for taking a bad situation and making it worse.

Friday’s dismal jobs report cemented the view that Obama’s second term is a disaster.

Combine the weak economy with his failure to build a coalition for a military strike on Syria, and the president looks like a man who doesn’t have a friend in the world — or a clue about where to find one.

Humiliated by Vladimir Putin at the G-20 summit in Russia, Obama was reduced to praising a mushy statement calling for a “strong” response to the use of chemical weapons by Bashar al-Assad.

Nine member countries signed on, including France, Italy, England and Saudi Arabia, though not all actually support a military strike. The refuseniks included China, Russia, the European Union, Brazil and India.

What did Jeebus say, Yep, they only wanted a black president and they've finally got one who also makes Carter look strong.

Obamacare Screws Trader Joe's Employees
After extending health care coverage to many of its part-time employees for years, Trader Joe's has told workers who log fewer than 30 hours a week that they will need to find insurance on the Obamacare exchanges next year, according to a confidential memo from the grocer's chief executive.
In the memo to staff dated Aug. 30, Trader Joe's CEO Dan Bane said the company will cut part-timers a check for $500 in January and help guide them toward finding a new plan under the Affordable Care Act. The company will continue to offer health coverage to workers who carry 30 hours or more on average.…
A current Trader Joe's worker described the coverage she'll likely lose as "one of the best parts about the job." (The employee requested anonymity since she isn't authorized to speak to the media.) She said she pays only $35 per paycheck, or $70 per month, for a plan that generally covers 80 percent of her medical costs, carries a reasonable $500 deductible and includes prescription drug coverage.
"There are several folks I work with who are there for the insurance as much as anything, mostly folks with young families," she said. "I can say that when I opened and read the letter yesterday my reaction was pure panic, followed quickly by anger."
While the stakes for workers aren't clear, the benefits to Trader Joe's under the new arrangement are obvious. The implementation of Obamacare provides an opportune moment for the company to get in line with less generous competitors, and the savings the company finds in dropping coverage for part-timers will almost certainly outstrip the $500 it will give employees to defray what they end up paying on the exchanges.

An earlier memo to staff in May sounded a rosier note on health coverage. Bane said the company had "made a decision to make minimal and only necessary changes to your costs" for health care until Obamacare regulations were finalized next year. He also noted that the company would give workers a 10 percent discount on their monthly coverage for the second half of the year.

He did, however, inform workers that corporate contributions to employee retirement accounts would be drastically scaled back, by a third for some and two-thirds for others. Bane argued that the company's "very generous" contribution rates had been too high for the industry.

"Whole Foods and Costco (two public companies) make retirement plan contributions that are significantly less than Trader Joe's," he wrote.

Man charged with hate crime:'I'm going to hang you from a tree'
A Norwood Park man has been charged with a hate crime after he jumped off his porch and yelled racial slurs as he chased a woman who works at a nearby hospital, according to police.
The woman said she had just finished a 12-hour shift at Presence Resurrection Medical Center and was walking to a Mexican restaurant nearby around 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The woman said she had planned on bringing her meal back to the hospital when she was confronted by Diamond outside his home in the 5800 block of North Oketo Avenue, she said.
"Hey you stupid black n----- b----, how does it feel to walk in an all-white neighborhood?" Diamond, 45, yelled from his porch, according to a police report.
Diamond, who is white, then got off the porch and ran after her, screaming, "If I see you in my neighborhood again, I'm going to rape you and hang you from a tree,'' the police report said.

Unless he physically assaulted the woman, there is no crime.

where you can read this:
"Under Obama’s plan, mortgages provided by private-sector lenders that are bundled into securities and sold to investors could obtain a taxpayer guarantee in return for a fee."
which is exactly what crashed the economy, and exactly what happened when Obama bailed out all the financial institutions that caused the crash.
and:
"...taxpayers would absorb the remainder of losses...."
and:
"...but also would reduce the government’s role in funding home loans."
so, the government is funding home loans. Sounds like the CRA, doesn't it?
Just how ignorant are you?
lol! Let me see if I have this straight....

... You're quoting a source on the proposed change to the way the mortgage market is done today...

But it has nothing to do with CRA?

You keep quoting but not making a connection to CRA.

If you remove CRA, by your conditions, you've eliminated the financial crisis.

Are you changing your position now? Does that mean you're ceding CRA as NOT being the cause of the financial problems?

Posted: 01/07/2013 8:20 am EST | Updated: 01/08/2013 1:12 am EST

CHARLOTTE, N.C.— Bank of America says it will spend more than $10 billion to settle mortgage claims resulting from the housing meltdown.

Under the deal announced Monday, the bank will pay $3.6 billion to Fannie Mae and buy back $6.75 billion in loans that the North Carolina-based bank and its Countrywide banking unit sold to the government agency from Jan. 1, 2000 through Dec. 31, 2008. That includes about 30,000 loans.

Its shares edged up 14 cents to $12.25 in premarket trading after the announcement...."

I have a question. Just seen were the city of Richmond, California is thinking of seizing underwater mortgages under eminent domain. Wouldn't that make the city the owner of the property and liable for the mortgages?
The city plans to force the mortgage holder to accept whatever the city determines as the market value of the property, which is far less than the mortgage, in essence seizing the assets of the mortgage holder.

Legal action might stick the city with the full amount of the mortgage, bankrupting the city.

Typical of the extremist Tea party. Once again calling for the shutdown of the government. Apparently they need more time to adjust their thinking caps. Having problems keeping up with the flow of rational intelligent politics.
This time their stamping their feet and throwing their tantrums, because they want to impeach the president and demand our nation goes back to the old status quo of medical care. Yes backwards back to the monopolized medical insurance plans of yesteryear, with their death panels and all the other erroneous failures that system provided for our USA. Raising the cost of medical health care to the highest in the world !
Eric Cantor proudly leading this dysfunctional mob of Tea baggers. Leading them down into chasm that they have been expanding within the republican party. Traditional intelligent political republicans are experiencing ever increasing disdain for their follow republican extremist, lacking knowledge of politics.
Traditional republicans find it difficult to support their extremist in the midst of booming fiscal recovery of Obama’s making. They explain that voters are even more savvy than when they were during Clinton’s administration and know it is the republicans erroneous policy to continuously threaten the credit ratings of the USA. Little wonder for that will increase payments with increase interest rates. Our 1% would lavish that windfall profit for their coffers. Just as they did in the two previous shutdowns of our government by dysfunctional leadership of the republicans.
The pirate captain Eric Cantor goes below decks to plot their attack upon the financial’s of the USA. Seeking to pirate away more ransom loot and additional interest booty for their 1% lords and masters.
Here is what was over heard, of the Tea party pirates, diabolical plotting.
Basic simple strategy, pirates will be demand to reduce entitlements and increase funds to the military industrialist. No insurance for the impoverished, the weak, the frail. Suppress the present elderly’s insurance benefits, with greater co-pays on all medical issues. All with the delighted approval of their lords and masters of the 1%.
Traditional savvy republicans are appalled at the complete ignorance of their Tea party. They will seek to follow a strategy that has proven effective to deal with these hooligans of their political party. Old reliable smoke and mirrors as they circumnavigate around the issues that promotes any hostage issues.
Andy Roth the vice president of an organization of the republican traditional republicans will be seeking to support of the gathering up of the Tea and casting it out unto the waters of political oblivion. President of the organization, Chris Chocola,, concurs with Andy stating, he hopes these Tea Nuts are simply proposing an ill joke and not to be taken seriously.
Meanwhile back on the Tea’s plantation vigorous displays, parades. prep rallies were being rehearsed for their attack on the USA’s finical security. All for the glory and might of their 1% lords and masters.
Will the voters once again rise to the voting booths as they did in 2012 and dispose of this Tea blight upon our political leadership? Will the lords of the 1% win, with propaganda and sway the weak of mental stability to vote for their cause? Arrrr Matey the plot thickens. Heave ho, to the voting booths of 2014.… Cast out the Tea as in was with our forefathers of 1773.
Rational Intelligence is constrained to facts of reality, where in as irrational intelligence is infinitely bottomless.
