In another poll NSA was named as number one most concerning.
Yeah, roughly the same number of people who watched the final episode of America's Got Talent "disapprove" of being spied on.

"Bush". You're obstinance is pathetic.
How can higher taxes, less disposable income, all-encompassing bureaucratic intrusion, and dependence on foreign oil, possibly invigorate an economy? It's ridiculous on it's face and impossible under any circumstances.
Obama plans a government program to develop a magic fuel that will save the environment and make oil obsolete.

The immediate suspicion is anti-Mormon bigotry by fundamentalist Christians, a worthless fringe cult that should not be pandered to. They are the problem, not Fox. The anti-abortion crowd turns off Conservative women voters who are not part of their religious cult.
Republicans should focus on tax and budget issues, where they had great success in 2010.
Their number. One issue is abortion, then gay marriage. Even though those issues buried them, they have continued even stronger than before. Nothing on jobs, Boehner is ineffective as Speaker.

No, the words used in the poll data was "limited circumstances" that does not apply 'most'.
It means legal in limited circumstances or illegal in most.
Galt is bored by the abortion discussion and by Conservatives that allow themselves to get dragged down by this losing issue.

No change will ever occur except by SCOTUS.

Let's focus on something that we can actually change.

You know better than to compare mid-term voter turnout with general election turnout.

I was being coy, I don't doubt that pretty much the entire GOP army turned out. Doesn't matter, their message isn't playing with independents. The GOP themselves admit this.

Or to use the polls again and something more applicable.

Those who "approve" being spied on was roughly the same number who approved of Obama's job performance at the time of the polls.

Obama's number have slipped since then.

I don't think anyone likes the idea of being spied on, but we are powerless. The machine is too big for anyone to conquer, no matter who runs for President. Who expands these powers? Congress.
Perhaps we are not meant to know the extent if these practices, if we know then so do our enemies.

Scarce? Who've you been listening to, the Saudis?

Wind, solar and battery power are, at this point, novel possibilities. We can't depend on 'alternatives' that haven't been perfected. Oil utilization has been perfected. The infrastructure is in place, the cost, in comparison, is low. What, exactly, would we "save" our petroleum resources for?

If lower prices and a North Dakota-like economic boom aren't enough, the political implications with the Arab world should be enough to go balls out with "drill, baby, drill."
