<quoted text>Actually, Obama is less radical than the right wing crazies.
He's shifted more and more to the right and each time he gives in, the rw crazies demand even more.
This might be one of the reasons why people like McCain are beginning to put their foot down.
Even he can recognize the danger that's brewing.
Obama is using a senile old McCain to hide the truth.

Time to put that old horse out to pasture.

Goes back even further to the Clinton/Berger days.
But you libs don't like reminiscing about the Clinton era who fumbled four of five opportunities to get bin Laden before 9/11 and Berger stealing documents from the National Archives that were missing information about 9/11.
Too incriminating. Can't have that.
Clinton pursued, arrested , convicted, and imprisoned for life in U S SuperMax jails all of the key terrorists in the 1993 WTC garage bombing within 2 years of the attack and did not , like Bush43 did, launch a 12 year counterinsurgency war in Iraq and Afghanistan that they never won.

Correct, she was forced to plead the fifth, Issa already knew she would and had his little ditty prepared. One he dismissed her the first time she should have continued along on way out rather than return simply to her the mutt from South Carolina talk sht and then be excused by Issa again.

If you think asking a questions is 'blaming someone' you're more cracked then I feared. Why not just answer the questions why Darrell Issa ignored the IRS targeting allegations when he first found out about them before the 2012 elections if it was such a serious crime? According to you, this would mean that Darrell Issa was guilty of gross negligence in doing his job by ignoring the IRS targeting issue for so long. That is if there even was an "issue/scandal" You are assuming an awful lot without any evidence.

The Fifth Amendment does not allow you to testify and then refuse to answer on cross examination, nor does it allow you to choose which questions you desire to answer.
The idiot should have kept her mouth shut from the start, rather than making her foolish statement.
Her attorney was much more effective when representing Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
B*llshyt....I suggest you check laws

Lerner’s lawyer, William W. Taylor, adamantly disagreed.“The law is clear that a witness does not waive her Fifth Amendment rights not to testify as to facts by asserting that she is innocent of the wrongdoing with which she is accused,” he wrote in an e-mail.

In an interview, Taylor said Lerner’s comments—which gave a thumbnail sketch of her division’s operation and the two investigations it has spurred in the offices of the Treasury inspector general and FBI — didn’t delve into the facts.“It simply said,‘This is what you guys accused me of, I’m not guilty of it.’”

http://news.yahoo.com/irs-official-fifth-amen...

ames Duane, a Fifth Amendment expert at Regent University, explained to New York magazine why Lerner was within her rights.(Duane made his comments after the hearing ended and before Issa made his announcement.)

“When [someone is] involuntarily summoned before grand jury or before legislative body, it is well settled that they have a right to make a ‘selective invocation,’ as it’s called, with respect to questions that they think might raise a meaningful risk of incriminating themselves,” Duane said.

He also believes that “even if Ms. Lerner had given answers to a few questions — five, ten, twenty questions — before she decided,‘That’s where I draw the line, I’m not answering any more questions,’ she would be able to do that as well.”

That theory will now get tested, since Issa indicated he may call Lerner back to testify again, without the ability to cite the Fifth Amendment.

Stan Brand, a former general counsel for the House of Representatives, told Politico that Lerner could have an issue if she waived her rights in prior appearances before Congress.

Prior to Lerner’s appearance, her attorney, William W. Taylor III, wrote to Issa and explained why his client was taking the Fifth Amendment.

Taylor said that prior claims by Issa that Lerner had provided misleading information to Congress on four occasions left his client without another option.

“She has not committed any crime or made any misrepresentation but under the circumstances she has no choice but to take this course,” Taylor said.

but not to worry, as I sure this will come up against a judge

where were you when the Iran-Contra scandal broke...you know the scandal where the Reagan administration was selling arms and munitions to Muslim Terrorists and using the proceeds to arm South American terrorists known for killing thousands of innocent civilians including a bunch of American nuns and missionaries.
BTW, there was an INDEPENDENT Inspector General investigation into the affair. INDEPENDENT---had the Obama administration known about the investigation you would be screaming about them interfering with an independent investigation.
