I agree with the post- the Congress writes the Tax codes.
This trying to intimidate a company who follows the tax code appears unbecoming.
Why should they feel intimidated if they followed the law son?

Are you sure you know what's going on?

Ok for the very, very slow morons in the class:
Congress has complete control of the money the government spends. The sole function of the president is to make a suggestion, which is the budget proposal required by law that Obama has ignored every goddam time.
The Democrats took control of all the purse strings of government in January, 2007, with a declining deficit of 0.16 (that's zero point one six) trillion and a total debt of 8.5 trillion (having increased by 3.5 trillion dollars since the Arabs declared war on the United
States on September 11, 2001).
Since, the Democrats have increased the deficit a thousand percent, and doubled the debt.
They only care about the deficit PRE Obama and a four-year Democrat-controlled Congress increasing it beyond recognition.

They still think that's the republicans' fault too for some reason.

I believe we were talking about this a bit ago. Seems a company called GrubHub is merging with a few smaller companies to form a national restaurant home delivery service. Want to eat at your favorite restaurant but don't want to get dress up? Just call the yet unnamed company and they will go to the restaurant, pick up your meal and deliver it to your home. They at this time affiliated with 20,000 local and chain restaurants nationwide.

It will be interesting to see if this flies. We had one here a few years ago but the doubling of gas prices killed it.

Presidents universally take credit when the economy does well (such as Reagan,) and choose to blame other factors when the economy does poorly (such as Obama).
Any improvement in the economy is IN SPITE of Obama. Here is the evidence:
1. Most new jobs were created in TEXAS.
2. Oil fracking has been successful IN SPITE OF environmentalist wackos.
3. Many of Obama's socialist agenda had been successfully STOP by Conservatives in the House.
Didn't Reagan blame others when his own Iran/Contra Affair went bad? Reagan claimed ignorance.

Classical liberalism is a political philosophy and ideology that emerged as a response to the Industrial Revolution and urbanization in the 19th century in Europe and the United States. It shares a number of beliefs with other belief systems belonging to liberalism, advocating civil liberties and political freedom, limited government, rule of law, and belief in free market. Classical liberalism is built on ideas that had already arisen by the end of the 18th century, such as selected ideas of Adam Smith, John Locke, Jean-Baptiste Say, Thomas Malthus, and David Ricardo, stressing the belief in free market and natural law, utilitarianism, and progress. Classical liberals were more suspicious than conservatives of all but the most minimal government and, adopting Thomas Hobbes's theory of government, they believed government had been created by individuals to protect themselves from one another.

Classical Liberalism vs. Modern Liberalism and Modern Conservatism
Classical Liberalism as an Ideology
Classical liberalism was the political philosophy of the Founding Fathers. It permeates the Constitution, the Federalist Papers and many other documents produced by the people who created the American system of government. Many emancipationists who opposed slavery were essentially classical liberals, as were the suffragettes, who fought for equal rights for women.
Basically, classical liberalism is based on a belief in liberty. Even today, one of the clearest statements of this philosophy is found in the Declaration of Independence. In 1776, most people believed that rights came from government. People thought they had only such rights as government elected to give them. But following British philosopher John Locke, Jefferson argued that its the other way around. People have rights apart from government, as part of their nature. Further, people can both form governments and dissolve them. The only legitimate purpose of government is to protect these rights.
The 19th century was the century of classical liberalism. Partly for that reason it was also the century of ever-increasing economic and political liberty, relative international peace, relative price stability and unprecedented economic growth. By contrast, the 20th century was the century that rejected classical liberalism. Partly for that reason, it was the century of dictatorship, depression and war. Nearly 265 million people were killed by their own governments (in addition to all the deaths from wars!) in the 20th century more than in any previous century and possibly more than in all previous centuries combined

Okay, how does this differ from being a Libertarian? It appears to me that the philosophies are very similar.

I thought your original comment had FDR as a Liberal or perhaps as a new breed of Liberal is what you stated.

Apple already did move overseas to avoid playing by the tax rules that every other American corporation must do. How is that morally justifiable? Mitt Romney said himself that he agreed that tax moochers should be held accountable, prosecuted ,swiftly convicted and jailed.
