The talk of "massive gun battles" was grossly exaggerated, mostly cop fire without effect. The Muslim Brotherhood had only one handgun and ambushed the cop that they killed. The first Muslim was killed by his brother by running over his head while escaping. The second Muslim was unarmed when flushed from the boat by a massive police assault. Police were lucky that these guys were not good for much except planting IEDs.

Bachmann could face lawsuit for ‘propagating complete and utter lies’

A religious freedom advocate told U.S. News he is considering suing Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) over allegedly slanderous comments she made in a fundraising pitch.

“We are caucusing with our legal counsel to consider the most expeditious course of action we can take in a federal court to stop these bald-faced lies,” Mikey Weinstein of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) said.“About 96 percent of our members [at MRFF] are Protestant or Roman Catholic… of our unpaid volunteers, at least well over 80 percent are Christian… I say [to Bachmann]: Tell it to the judge.”

Agree about that overkill firepower by the police, sounded like the grand finale at Fourth of July. What was the point? The brothers may have gone on to plant more bombs elsewhere, the witness said they talked about going to Times Square. The other brother may have had a gun and ditched it.

Don’t look now, but New York’s senior senator has just endorsed a key proposition of supply-side economics: That high tax rates influence behavior, and that in turn has consequences for tax revenues.
As The Post recently reported, Schumer has been talking to business leaders about a plan to lure multinational corporate profits parked in offshore accounts back to this country. His proposal: Declare a tax holiday in which the tax rate for repatriating money would be lowered from 35 percent to just 8 percent.
The idea is that if the United States could entice back the estimated $1.7 trillion in accumulated offshore earnings, it would generate $136 billion in revenues under the 8 percent rate. Others say the more realistic return would be in the range of $50 billion.
Either way, it raises the obvious question: Why not just lower the tax rates permanently so we can keep money from heading overseas in the first place?
President Obama’s new nominee for commerce secretary, Hyatt Hotel heiress Penny Pritzker, might have an interesting perspective here. A major bundler for the Obama campaign, Pritzker is something of an expert on how high US tax rates send money overseas, given her family’s spats with the IRS about their offshore accounts.
Whatever the reason for Schumer’s move, it’s a big improvement over the approach he took last year when he introduced a bill to penalize Americans who renounce their US citizenship for tax reasons. In other words, people such as Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin.
So two cheers for Schumer’s new effort. We’ll reserve the third for when he extends his bid for a tax holiday into a permanent vacation.

Does anyone remember Barack Obama's great promise of the campaign of 2012? He did not make a promise to America nor to Americans. He did not make a promise to fellow politicians. Unlike so many of his promises, he is keeping this one. His promise was to Vladimir Putin of Russia.

What is Obama doing to keep his promise to Putin? Everyone remembers the hot mike incident in 2012 when Barack Obama pleaded with Russian President Dmitri Medvedyev to give him time until the election. After the election, he promised Vladimir Putin, through Medvedyev, he would be more "flexible." Now we have seen this flexibility.

Barack Obama is going to spend almost $700 million dollars of taxpayer money to buy Russian helicopters for the Afghan Air Force. But wait. Just like those TV commercials, this gets better. When Congress passed the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act, it had an interesting provision. Congress included, as a part of that law a prohibition on the United States buying helicopters from Rosoboronexport, the Russian manufacturer of the Mi-17 helicopter.

Unfortunately as always happens, when such laws are passed, Congress always gives the Regime an escape hatch. The law stated that Obama could buy from Rosoboronexport if the Secretary of Defense certified it was in the interest of National Security. And of course, the Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, a man committed to destroying the US military immediately signed off on that certification. Where do we even start with this one?

Congress is outraged over this with Senators and Representatives from both parties writing letters about this. Of course, this is Congress' fault for allowing a law to be written with such an escape hatch. More importantly, Americans need to be asking just what the hell the Obama Regime is doing.

Why are we spending $700 million dollars with a Russian arms manufacturer? Why are we even giving the Afghans these helicopters?
If we are going to give them helicopters, which we really shouldn't, then why not give them American made helicopters and put Americans to work? Even if we are going to give the Afghans Russian helicopters, the ones we are giving them are an old Cold War design. There are hundreds of used MI-17 helicopters floating around the world. Why are we paying to give the Afghans brand new helicopters?

In the era of the Sequester, isn't there something better we can do with $700 million? American Medicare cancer patients are being turned away from hospitals and are being denied life saving treatment because of budget cuts. The American military is being gutted to the point of ineffectiveness because of budget cuts. Or consider this. The United States Air Force is grounding 17 squadrons because of $591 million dollars in budget cuts. Our Air Force is not able to do its mission because it lacks the money to fly but we have the money to give Afghanistan $700 million dollars in Russian helicopters.

And this is where Barack Obama thinks we should spend our money? Most people reading this story will not have heard about it. Why?
Because the Obama Propaganda Media is moving in lock step to make sure there is no bad news that might damage Obama's presidency.
This is a story that should damage him and outrage every American.

Ask your Senator or Congressman why this outrage is being allowed and take a moment to share this story with your friends.

The only way we will ever stop Obama is if the American people know what he is doing.

Meet Democrats’ Newest Republican Crush: Ted Cruz?!?!
Their distaste for his antics and his radical ideology is undoubtedly genuine. But Democrats are also thrilled that someone with those — should we call them qualities?— has emerged after the rout in 2012 as a Republican powerbroker in his own right, in a party whose leadership is too weak and timid to control him. And, the greater his stature in the party, the more harm they believe he’ll do to the GOP nationwide, whether or not he runs for president in 2016.

Fox News Airs Live Flop Of Their Benghazi Wannabe Scandal – Stephen Colbert Gets Mad
The events of September 12, 2013, in Benghazi, Libya, were unambiguously tragic. However, while most Americans would hold the band of terrorists at the scene responsible for the attacks on our diplomatic facility and CIA post, Fox News and Republicans in congress have been fiercely battling to find any excuse to blame President Obama and/or Hillary Clinton.
With the circus sideshow offered today by GOP Representative Darrell Issa’s House committee, the effort to politicize the affair hit a new low. Although much was promised prior to the hearing, there was nothing illuminating that came from it. This was even after Fox pundits repeatedly vowed that the information they knew was going to be unveiled would be shocking and devastating to the administration. Their previews were so emphatic that Stephen Colbert made a point of launching a “Benghazi – Something That Will Make You Mad Clock.”
It’s fair to say that Colbert is furious today. And so are some of the right-wing media fluffers who are appalled that these unproductive hearings were ignored by much of the television press. NewsBusters went to the trouble of compiling the aggregate minutes that each of the cable news networks allotted to the hearings. To no one’s surprise, Fox dominated their competition. But that’s because the Benghazi Show was a Fox News Presentation from get-go. The other networks might have devoted more airtime to the story if there were anything actually newsworthy emanating from it.
What NewsBusters didn’t bother to report to their deluded audience was that all the extra time that Fox spent airing the live hearings was focused largely on Republican members of the committee. Media Matters did their own compilation and discovered that 71% of the 65 minutes they monitored featured GOP members making statements and questioning the witnesses. And that was even after anchor Megyn Kelly announced that their coverage had been unfairly weighted toward Democrats. That, of course, was not true, yet Kelly kept her promise to feature even more Republicans.
Now that the hearings have concluded with no smoking gun – not even a gently glowing ember – we can expect Fox and the GOP to set aside these spurious allegations and pursue some other fabricated scandal. And if you believe that, you haven’t been watching Fox the past 17 years.
