And why supporting Syria's rebels may extinguish Christianity in its oldest environs.
In fact, the conflict in Syria and the American invasion of Iraq are linked by a common thread: the failure of the U.S. to consider the effect of its foreign policy on vulnerable religious communities, especially Middle Eastern Christians.
http://www.theamericanconservative.com/articl...
When he came to office, President Bush famously scribbled in a report on the Clinton administration’s inaction during the Rwandan genocide,“Not on my watch.” Clinton today admits that inaction in Rwanda is his greatest regret. One day, Bush may look back on the neglect of the Middle East’s Christians with similar regret.
Turkey is now accusing Assad of ethnic cleansing in the coastal area between Homs and Lebanon in order to establish a safe zone for the minority Alawites. Of course Assad, his top generals and top government appointees are members of the Alawite sect of the Shiite division of Islam. The bulk of the Syrian population are Sunni and there are also many Christians in the war ravaged country.

Does this sound like a familiar story.

Politicians love few things better than a scandal to trip up their opponents, and Republicans hope last year's fatal attack on U.S. diplomats in Libya will do exactly that to Hillary Rodham Clinton and other Democrats.

History suggests it might be a tough lift. The issue is complex, the next presidential election is more than three years away, and a number of reports and officials have disputed criticisms of Clinton's role when she was secretary of state.

Still, Republicans and conservative talk hosts are hammering away at Clinton's and the Obama administration's handling of the 8-month-old tragedy. A daylong House Oversight Committee hearing Wednesday starred three State Department officials invited by Republicans. Security was poorly handled in Benghazi, Libya, they said, and administration officials later tried to obscure what happened.

But the three men offered little that has not been aired in previous congressional hearings. Afterward, Republicans all but acknowledged they're still seeking a knockout punch.

"This hearing is now over, but this investigation is not," said Darrell Issa of California, the hard-charging Republican chairman of the House committee. He urged "whistle-blowers" and "witnesses who have been afraid to come forward" to step up and "tell us your story, and we will make sure it gets public."

That Mr. Obama is a usurper makes this even more about espionage and urgency to hold this man as an agent of a foreign government to finally make him accountable. You know what they say about citizenship, once a Brit, always a Brit.
Who is really in charge?
Obama is so desperate to hang onto power that his false flags are openly broadcast and evident to all but the most obtuse. A cold-blooded killer, he has no worries about setting them up to murder Americans. You can bet when he’s involved, he will go to a ‘memorial service’ at the site. Think Gabby Giffords (Judge John Roll’s murder), Sandy Hook, Aurora, Boston. Think Andrew Breitbart, too, although Obama’s memorial would have been too obvious, and the dozens of people murdered during this regime’s reign...

Attracting a new business to a town with a temporary property tax concession as an incentive creates local employment with attendant increased revenue. The vacant land or buildings were probably creating very little property tax revenue anyway. Down the road they will generate far more.

Let's say a company like Cabela's wants to build a megastore along the interstate in one of two or three rural townships. Why not offer an incentive to attract the development?

Idiots like Dave who want to punish business are the reason we have continued high unemployment.

Keep in mind that we are talking about real businesses, not the kind of scams like Solyndra funded by Obama.

Deranged Liberalism is a psychological condition where you idiots become sympathetic towards the kidnapper or terrorist, in which liberals develop emotional attachment with the abuser or entity.

Just imagine what the response from this WH would have been had there been 4 jihadists killed instead of 4 Americans. Once you understand that the Obama Administration is fully partnered with the Muslim Brotherhood, everything Barack and his cadre do makes perfect sense.

We all know they never cut spending when they issue these breaks.
So do they raise revenues else where? If they raise income or property tax or sales tax then we pay for the tax break.
If they do not raise revenues to make up the difference & do not cut spending, then the amount of that break is added to the debt, for which we are all responsible.
So, t s not a question of of rights o assets. Its a question of who makes up for that loss of revenue?
Dave apparently thinks that cutting taxes is stealing money from folks like him who don't pay taxes.

After a remarkable House hearing yesterday, we can say this with almost complete certainty: The Obama administration knew perfectly well that last year’s Sept. 11 attack on Americans and American facilities in Benghazi was a terrorist act — yet chose to characterize it falsely as a spontaneous response to an anti-Islam YouTube video.
We can say this because we learned during the hearing that on Sept. 12, State Department official Beth Jones said flatly in an e-mail,“The group that conducted the attacks, Ansar al-Sharia, is affiliated with Islamic terrorists.”
We can say this because we heard the testimony of the No. 2 US diplomat in Libya, Greg Hicks — in which he said no one on the ground in Libya had any doubt it was a planned assault by Ansar al-Sharia. The first thing his boss, Ambassador Chris Stevens, told Hicks over the phone was,“We’re under attack.” Stevens was murdered shortly thereafter.
We can say this because we learned last week that the State Department Operations Center sent out a bulletin on Sept. 11 stating that Ansar al-Sharia had claimed responsibility.
Hicks said that in his conversations with State Department officials back home, including Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, neither he nor they nor anybody else said anything about a spontaneous demonstration or anything about a YouTube video.
So Team Obama knew. But Team Obama also knew there had been protests in Egypt around the embassy there that had been staged in response to the YouTube video. And at some point in the days that followed, the administration decided to conflate the two events and assign blame for the attack in Benghazi on the video.
It sent out UN Ambassador Susan Rice on Sept. 16 to say, as she did on CBS’s Sunday chat show,“Our assessment as of the present is ... what began spontaneously in Benghazi [was] a reaction to what had transpired some hours earlier in Cairo.”
We don’t know why the Obama administration chose to do this. We can speculate. We can guess it did so because it had developed a story line for the 2012 election in which al Qaeda was dead, and this muddied that story line.
But there’s a very good counter-argument that, politically, Obama missed an opportunity: He could have gotten up and said,“I’m the man who got bin Laden, and we’ll get these men, too.” That would’ve rallied the country. Who would’ve objected? Who would’ve criticized?
