But I also believe they're 2 grown adults, & it's none of my business. Tho it's none of my business who dates who, we as a society need to ask ourselves, is it worth shredding the fabric in which this country was founded on? The answer to that question is no! It's not about whether a person is gay or not. It's about making sure our children, & future children know the difference between a man & a woman, not be confused before their little brain are developed enuff to assess for themselves how they feel!
It's spelled "enough" and you're totally delusional to think that the majority of the country is like Ward and June Cleaver and have sex on Saturday nights in the missionary position. Wonder whos bed they used of the 2 twins in the room?

There's a whole world out there; different strokes for differnt folks, it's none of your business. Teach your children that everyone is different and to respect people the way that they are.

You all should just shut up and go mow your lawns or something. The train's already left the station it won't be coming back for a long, long time, longing for the past won't bring it back there's too much money waiting for it where it's going.

The world is going through transition. Borders are meaningless, arbitrary divisions are just minor obstacles to be circumvented as easily as imaginary fences. In 5 seconds I can reach a Chinese communist and cut a deal to make my widget with slave labor, and that's just by e-mailing Mitch McConnell. Imagine what I could do if I bothered to e-mail China?

Israelis can do online business with willing Iranians. Saudis can buy land in Texas and build bars and strip clubs next to their secret oil refineries. Every day millions of transactions take place between peoples who are currently killing and bombing each other. Commerce, not government, has no borders, no restrictions, no oversight.

So what're you going to do about it? Pretend it's not happening? Bemoan the loss of "jobs?" Are are you going to sit around and bitch about some sexual bullshit that's not even an issue except in church? Hell, even sex is better on the internet because he or she never has a headache and it's a simple matter to Photoshop out that big wart on her nose.

Grow up. Your world, whether it was good or bad previously, no longer exists. You are as unnecessary to the new world as the Pentagon is to defense. Anyone with some rudimentary knowledge and a subscription to Popular Mechanics can drive a flea-sized drone up your daughter's private parts - or yours - it's no longer even interesting.

Israelis and Palestineans? Who cares? Unrest on the Korean peninsula? So what? A decline in morals? Tell it to my Porn-Site manager. Everything you THOUGHT you knew is no longer relevant to anything. The price of admission to the New World - to re-coin an old Explorer's terminology - is knowledge. Power and money come from one's e-line ability to access information quickly. An education can be gleaned in moments by simply buying a machine designed to provide it. In fact, my friends, you yourself are no longer necessary to do anything. No one needs you any longer, no one needs anyone.

And the funniest part is that God is available at the flick of a switch. Perfect moral and ethical decisions can be supplied any who ask by simply Googling the desired result or query. But... why would one even bother to ask, frankly? Who cares what the machine thinks, it's a machine.

The INTERNET is GOD. Why else do you imagine there is such a desperation to try and figure out how to capitalize on universal knowledge? If everyone can easily know everything and talk to anyone, whenever they wish, anywhere, then of what use is competition? If everyone sells wholesale, then why buy retail? Why indeed.

Where the hell are you getting your figures Carol? The fact is that unemployment shot up in Britain under Thatcher to levels unseen since the Great Depression. In May of 1984 in the middle of her reign it hit 11.9%. The country was hit by two major recessions under her watch and manufacturing declined precipitously while the poverty level increased.
www.guardian.co.uk Politics Margaret Thatcher
She used the threat of global warming to decimate the coal industry and bust the miners union and when that was accomplished she suddenly became a skeptic.
When Augusto Pinochet was arrested for massive human rights abuses in Chile she advocated for his release and he spent the rest of his life under house arrest in Britain instead of the jail cell he deserved.
While lavishing praise on Pinochet she referred to Nelson Mandela as a terrorist.

Isn't it nice our president got to party hardy while half the country is pinching every penny?

After flying all over the country in campaign mode the past four years, I suppose he needed another jam session to relieve the stress between his vacations and golf games.

Besides, the secret service needed to guard all those celebrities instead of Americans who want to tour their White House.

Oy vey...

<quoted text> I don't know the exact statistics but, understand my analogy. There's 360 million people in the country. Lets say roughly 150 mill are work eligible adults. That means there needs to be 150 mill jobs. There is not enuff jobs to keep up with the public demand of employment, let alone people working 2 or 3 jobs. What you call menial jobs are physically demanding for the most part. What I want to know is , what makes you think your job is more important? What make you believe that you families well being is more important? What gives you the right to what we know as, a standard American life when I just explained that there isn't even enuff jobs for everybody to have 1 job. Why should a person be forced to work 2 or 3 jobs just to make inns meet? That only takes from other eligible workers, who eventually wind up on welfare. Then you'll be complaining about that. It's not peoples position to want to work menial jobs. It's the fact there isn't enuff jobs in the first place, let alone good paying ones to fit thesscenario you're suggesting. As far as your comments on the middle class. It makes no sense at all! The middle class job holders started out in front of the 8 ball. If they never got their income increased, they'd still be able to make rent. What you're doing is discriminating on folks by class. You're saying the top 2 classes deserve raises & an American standard of living, & the bottom class doesn't. Everyone can't receive loans from banks to start their own business, so they do what they need to do for their families well being. They too deserve an American standard of life! Probably more so then the other 2. It's new in the republican party. It's called trickle up economics!
I don't care for statistics or links from so called experts, I see
to much of that on Topix.
I would much rather here what you or any other poster on here opinion are, I place far more value in that then any statistics.

You are trying to place a sence of fairness into the way things
work.....big mistake.
Life is not easy by any means....some have it better then others
for sure about that.
But when we look to the Federal government for the answers
to such complex problems is when things get all screwed up even
worse.

From what I See all over your post....is a sense of fairness
is needed a sense a life equality is needed....so its only
natural to look to the government to provide this.
And guess what? the government is more then willing to try and do so.....in the form of wage and price controls welfare the tax code
social programs and social engineering.
Guess what...it does not work....these programs never take into
account basic free market capitalism and the principle needed to apply them and they never take into account basic human nature
when given the choice to get a free hand out rather then working
hard for what is needed.

Its not my job or your job to decide what job has more value what
jobs should pay.....that is to be decided by the market place.
When we do that....balance will be found and maintained.
Its when we depend on the MARKET (YOU AND ME) And start to reject
answers from the government...we will then have more then enough
jobs for those who will work hard to take them and keep them.
