And obviously enough of a rat's ass was given for her to have even been brought up in the first place. Yes, sad, I also agree. Especially how
So why then did you say I'm creeping you out, when it was you who mentioned that Alexandra is your daughter? All I did was mention her name and that I would not disclose what she is to you.

For all practical purposes, Alexandra could have been the name of your female cat, or female dog, or cabbage patch kid, Gracie.

In the Jewish Bible? Inky...who's in denial now? I've read the same thing in the King James Bible. Isn't that what you xtian hypocrites read? Because I'm certain my "bible" is not the one you read.
Yes, of course you did because all Christian Bibles include the 46 books of the Old Testament. The verse quoted was from the Pentaeuch [the five books of Moses]. So, since there weren't any Christians in Moses' time, that part of the Bible was written by and directed to the Jews.

Dude, don't take me for an idiot. You wanted me to know you knew, and I want to know why did you do that? Everyone else could get the idea that it's a dog or a cat, but you wanted me to know you knew that it wasn't a dog or a cat or a cabbage patch kid.

No it doesn't but it does show the influence of ethics and morals brought in by the church on English Common Law.
Baloney. It only mentions that the church had a great influence in government. That's nothing more than an ambiguous statement and you're reading into it what it doesn't say.
Ink wrote:
Don't you think most laws are based on morality? In most cases what is illegal is also immoral.
I do not believe laws are based on morality. I believe laws are based in the preservation of the overall good of the people. It's for the overall good of the people and society to punish those who steal; who kill with malice; who cheat on their taxes; who create undue risks to the safety and security of their neighbors.

The law does not punish adultery, yet, adultery is, hands down, immoral. The law also does not punish a man who kills an attacker who's trying to kill his wife or child, or a soldier who kills the enemy like Samson did in the scriptures. In fact, the law didn't even punish King David when he had Batsheva's husband killed.

Morality is not, and will never be, the basis of laws, because morality is highly subjective. I don't believe anal, or oral sex is immoral. But there are many who believe they are. I also don't believe same sex marriage is immoral, but there are many of you who do.

I don't believe it's immoral for me to smack my child if she's disrespectful to me, or my wife. But, there are many who do. I do believe it's questionably legal, not immoral, to cause such harm on a child, during the course of punishing him/her, so as to render that child with a bruise, broken bone, or welt. Why don't I believe it's immoral? Because in my childhood days, it wasn't illegal, nor immoral, to whack your kids hard, so they would end up with marks and scars. We learned that way and no parent got in trouble. In addition, in Deuteronomy, parents are allowed/commanded to have their stubborn and rebellious child stoned to death by the elders of the city.

Do not equate what's right with what's moral, or what's immoral with what's wrong. Something may be wrong, but it is not necessarily immoral.

Kinda creepy. Your rationalization skills aren't cutting it here CDII. This was your way of letting me know you know, and doing it in a very disturbed way. Admit you didn't intend that, because everyone makes mistakes, and you got a tad mixed up. Own up to yours, admit it, and move on, otherwise, whoa.... creepy dude. Seriously.

Then stop expressing yourself as if you're pooling on knowledge you were casually told by another religion and not something your very own religion believes as true.

And please, don't even try to educate me with those ridiculous christian terms. It's the Torah, not the "Pentateuch."

And, Moses didn't write the entire Torah. If he did, how could he write of his own death? It's referred to as the "Law of Moses," because it was Moses, or Moshe, who received the Torah, from G-d in Mt. Sinai. That's it. Not because he wrote it.

I don't get that. Shooting a Doctor or bombing a clinic etc etc won't stop it. If anything it hurts the cause making people way more determined to fight. Escalates to where "that" stuff happens, when it's not going to help. Nut jobs with every controversial issue.

I didn't say Moses wrote it. I said it was written by and for Jews. I think you should be careful to negatively ascribe a belief to Christians that Jews also believe.

What would be illegal that isn't immoral. The only thing I can think of might be drug use.

You're such a dimwit Grace. It was you who let the proverbial "cat" out the bag. If you had kept your piehole shut, no one would have known that Alexandra is your daughter

There's no one to blame for that than you.

But my point is CDII that you wanted me to know that you knew who Alexandra was. I would never have mentioned her name. YOU DID. And I want to know why you would use her name in such a disgusting manner in the first place. I'm sorry I'm calling you on your crap, you're not that smart. Personally, it doesn't bother me that a few people know her name, there are people on here that are already privy to that information, but the way you used it, and let me know that you knew is creepy dude. It really is. And the example you used, dude, again, creepy.

So really, if YOU had kept your pie hole shut in the first place, and never brought up the fact that you wanted me to know you knew about her, this wouldn't be an issue. This would never have been pointed out, but you had to let me know you knew who she was, and in such a way that is quite (again) disturbing.

There are probably a couple of people here that know her name already, I just find it alarming that you wanted to make sure I knew that you were one of them.

No dude, you wanted me to know that you knew who Alexandra was. You're trying to back track and proclaim that you aren't to blame. I NEVER brought up her name, you did.
