COURT UPHOLDS TEXAS LAW wrote:
About one-third of Texas abortion clinics have been shut down since its new law requiring abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital went into effect. Reuters reports that a recent ruling in the law's favor by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit prompted the number of shut-downs to rise.
The case had been brought to the appeals court after a U.S. district court struck down some of those laws provisions, but that has now been reversed.
"The district court's opinion took the wrong approach to the rational basis test," the 5th Circuit's decision said. ""Requiring abortion providers to have admitting privileges would also promote the continuity of care in all cases, reducing the risk of injury caused by miscommunication and misdiagnosis when a patient is transferred from one health care provider to another."
Planned Parenthood, which brought the suit forward, expressed disapproval with the decision, arguing the law seeks only to shut down abortion clinics. Only six abortion clinics in the state of Texas will be able to meet the requirement.

Bad news for Wendy "Abortion Barbie" Davis.

First, she gets smoked in Texas primary elections by pro-life gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott: 1,222,000+ votes to her 432,000+ votes.

Now, the only reason she's running for governor gets a sound judicial smackdown.

Continuity of care, my ass. If 'continuity of care;' was the standard, every outpatient clinic of any description in Texas would be required to obtain hospital privileges....but that's not the case, is it....no, the fetus worshipers just want to shut down abortion clinics, and like all fundies, they are willing to cheat and lie to get it done.

Congratulations, fundies, on paying off enough judges to make your religion the law of the land in Texas.

Do you always answer a question with a question?
If we're going to get into what "He" wants, I'd like to get it from the dude himself, rather than from either you, other posters, the SCOTUS, or some tattered collection of fairy stories from sheepherders in the desert two millennia ago.
I never professed to know what "He" wants. I only questioned the hypothesis put forth by stupid above who claimed that if "He" intended sex for procreation that He would have made it a chore.
He couldn't answer and apparently neither can you. Two stupid peas in an idiotic pod.

We're talking about sex and sassyjm's claim that G-d's intention for sex was procreation. We're not talking about procreation only idios.
Exactly, stupid. So why could He not intend sex for procreation and still make it pleasurable at the same time ? Why would He make something He obviously WANTS people to do.....a chore?
You can answer now.
Sex is NOT needed for procreation to occur ya dope. Fertilization can, and does, take place in a pitri dish. Besides, how many couples do you think exist who are incapable of having children, whether due to age, physical inability, or surgical sterilization, yet enjoy a fruitful sex life? I know of one; my wife and I.
Just because you're shootin' blanks, cowboy doesn't mean He didn't intend sex for procreation.
Just because someone might be born blind doesn't mean eyes were not intended for sight.

[QUOTEAren't you christians commanded to go into all the world and preach the gospel? To how many of you would you think such would be pleasurable, and to how many you would think it would be a chore? And please don't tell me that that commandment is only for a "selected few," or takes into consideration the resources of some.[/QUOTE]

I'll bet if preaching the gospel yielded a mind blowing orgasm, a lot more people would be doing it, eh cowboy?

Let's review, stupid. You claimed that if he intended sex for procreation that he would have made it a chore.
So explain once more why he would have made something a chore that he INTENDED and WANTED people to do ?
Do you get it, or do I need to draw you a picture in crayon and connect all the little dots????
For this one I think I'm going to need the picture.

I don't believe in "god" - his OR yours. According to MY beliefs, the Creator creates, but declines to involve itself in the day to day affairs of humans.
I have no idea what Creator 'wants', and don't claim to.

There's your answer, veggie-breath.

Dopey Dubya's politicizing the courts. Something else he should have been impeached for. It will go to the SCOTUS. This isn't the end of it. The state can not place an undue burden on women trying to get a legal abortion and if all clinics are not treated the same, Texas is fncked.

What "he" (the control freak) wants people to do flies in the face of the "free will BS" your type likes to throw around.

What is important is Her will, not his, not yours, nor any other religious misogynist brainwashed fanatic.

According to you "he" makes things pleasurable to entice people into doing "his" will. Should we consider all pleasurable things "his" will and be encouraged to practice it?

Here is a news flash, labor and child birth is not pleasurable it is a chore a big chore....so therefore according to you he would NOT WANT women to do this...correct? Thank you.

Baloney. If G-d intended sex to be for the procreation of children, women in their late 50's and beyond would have their vaginas shut by divine intervention. Better yet; if what you say is true, then sex would not be pleasurable at all; it would be a chore.
Maybe it is for you, but for the rest of us, sex is VERY pleasurable.
Hellooo? I said God intended sex to be for the procreation of children "first and foremost" not "only". CLEARLY(as I even pointed out) we are not fertile 24/7/365 (or after menopause as you pointed out) AND sex bonds us as married couples on a deep level, thus making it desirable and pleasurable even when not procreating.

Who thinks sex is a "chore"??

It all comes down to self-respect. I imagine it would be hard for me to be an authentic authority figure to my kids if they could dredge up photographic evidence that could be used against me. We used to say that if you would be ashamed of something if your mom found out then don't do it.
I wish women would empower themselves with self respect instead of allowing men to use them for their selfish desires. It is total disrespect for people to view these women who clearly lack any self respect, dignity or value. Are you aware that playa taught her boys to use women as sex objects? She admitted to buying porn for her sons as they turned 13 yrs old?

Disgusting and anti-women, right?

Okay, I believe in God, you don't. How about you admit to the facts I provided that us women aren't fertile 24/7/365. Practice some self control when fertile..aka abstain..and women wouldn't be crying about getting pregnant.

It's embarrassing to listen to women who are absolutely clueless about their bodies and how they work. Good grief!

How sad that you are controlled by men. Here is a little hint for you: women also enjoy sex! I know you may be shocked by that news but its TRUE!! Women with self respect and dignity and value even initiate the sexual experience and may even do so with men they hardly know.*jm gasps*. They may even do it for their own selfish desires!!*jm feels faint* Yes, women have sexual desires and it is perfectly normal and natural.*jm blushing* It is even moral.*jm sulks* Only religious cults deem sex as dirty and women who enjoy it or initiate it or seek it out outside of their artificial limitations on a biological process as dirty hos.*jm starts looking for stones*

Listen, we all know how perfectly normal things embarrass you but here is another little reality check for you. Women are human beings and human beings are not perfect. Birth control isn't 100% effective even if used perfectly. Accidents and mistakes happen. When they do and a woman does not want to remain pregnant she can seek a legal and safe abortion. Problem solved. Don't worry though. You will never know so it won't hurt your myth based sensibilities.

You *do* know what natural death is right? We all die one day. Some in the" fertilized egg" stage of life, while some at birth, as a toddler, or teenager, while many at 100yrs old. God gives life and he takes it. We were created*by* him *for* him. Our earthly life is unavoidably limited.

"god" CLEARLY has nothing to do with the biological process of human reproduction. It is the natural process of continuing the species. All living organisms do it. Most without the puritanical fairy story started by primitive humans who did not understand science and nature. They do it, they like it and sometimes they reproduce.

How do suppose that I am "controlled by men" by my post? What does this ^^^mishmosh have to do with women being exploited by men? Is it okay with you that men use women to get their jollies out? Is it okay that men gawk at womens bodies? Even Longnightmoom pointed out porn as a lack of self respect issue for women(and the men using them).

You raised a daughter ALONE . THAT is okay that a man used you for sex and dumped you and the child that he created?

Women having natural sexual desires has nothing to do with my post. Sex is beautiful, desirable and enjoyable when the couple respects each other. Look at your consequences after enjoying it in the wrong context. You think that being loved and respected is old fashioned and out of style? Sad for YOU. Me??? Nope, I respect the body God gave me and I naturally expected a man to do the same :)
