I expect so too. All citizens of marriageable age, should have the right to marry, regardless of which gender to whom they'd like to plight their troth.
It's about damn time.
Why can't a thirteen year old marry?
Why discriminate?

Me too! But it looks like YOU busted the cherry on this topic! Listen up, all ye who enter...Roe v Wade is weak, conflating doctor-patient confidentiality with freedom from unreasonable search and seizure. Sort of. The rightwing Patriarchs accuse women and their doctors of MURDER! Murder, not a bad "choice." They tell you up front they don't recognize the "unborn child" as part of a woman's body, nor as anything but a person. So pro-choicers should quit trivializing this issue with Supreme Court pretzel logic. It's about defining a person in law. Not some referee-call on medical practices. So, woman up! Battle the Bible-Humpers on First Amendment grounds; "God" has no standing here. Focus laser-hot on the Theocrats' contention that there is some magic "moment of conception" which a superbeing commands to be ironclad constitutional law. Not confident you'd win? That might be so. Ever thought of codifying a woman's right to abortion itself in the constitution? Nah. We can't even ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. Any more suggestions, because I am listening for a good one.

Because a thirteen year old is not capable of making adult decisions. Their brains don't work the same way they will as an adult. They also can't drink, drive, vote or own property, but we don't see you fighting FOR that, so spare us what YOU see as a "devil's advocate" position that's actually just stupid.

What's to post about? They're about 35 years too late. Abortion isn't going to be repealed. Never in history has a civil right been taken AWAY from people. Its simply not going to happen. More restrictions? Maybe, but that also wont stop anyone that wants one.
Education would help reduce the perceived necessity of abortion. Sadly, most that are against abortion are also against manditory education.
Lilrabbitfoofoo, my dear, I'm afraid I'll have to turn you into a Goo on this one. Abortion isn't a right at all. That's the problem. Roe v Wade is a house of cards. Slight expansion of the relevant arguments in this thread, though: everybody should think hard about this: Soon, several major battles about how "we" define Personhood, Citizenship, Birth, Human, Animal, Bio-Patents, Consciousness, Consent, Slavery, and the definition of life/death. For example, can you own a sex slave clone that's mostly inorganic technology as long as the clone gives consent? Or, can corporations patent and sell embryos for fun and profit if they can prove their modified DNA creations could seem nearly human, fall short of the mark? Should Religion lose its suspect class status...because, since it's a choice (unless your biological age is 17 years 11 months and about 4 weeks old or less) it merits no constitutional protection?[more]

Don't bother with 'more', dude. The fact that some women will abort regardless of the law, isn't going to change. The only thing your SCPL wish, that it be criminalized, will do, is cause more deaths. Your glee in that, is obvious.

Go gestate something....and hey, don't forget to give birth to it.

You find the American Flag pornographic?

Not pornographic. It is belligerent trash talk, an eff you to the world, our battle flag as we expand and deepen our fight to stay militarily dominant and resource-supplied. With air, water, land, space and cyber superiority. The flag is a Psy-Op. A powerful, atavistic dog whistle to a pit bull nation. But that's not the point.

You see, because the purpose of Law isn't to MAKE EVERYTHING THAT MAKES YOU ANGRY ILLEGAL! Dag-nnnab-bit! If some people want to build real and virtual places catering to their favorite prejudices, fashions, with special morality police scooting around your neighborhood bearing holy screeds, penance tickets, chains, gun, and lead pipes, that's OK with me. There'll be a hot time in the old town tonight! &# 55356;

Gee! Nobody, in the 300,000+ posts ever thought of that!!! BTW, I read an opinion by a Rabbi that says that a fetus is an organ.. This fits in with my position on abortion.

So you do fear death; the death of another life, born or unborn.
Question is; how can you fear something you haven't experienced, or have come close to experiencing?
I'm willing to bet that if you were to have your life flash before you eyes, like it happened to me once, or you were to find out your religion is a lie, you'd fear either the possibility of death, if not death itself.
Faith can only carry you so far.
No, like I stated before .. I DO NOT fear death !!
I don't accept the TAKING OF LIFE born or unborn .. where did I state that I was afraid of either ?? Not accepting murder does not equate to fear of death ..

Faith carries me far enough .. I am comfortable with my faith and the authenticity of it .. No need for me to question it being a lie ..

Maybe something's lost in translation. I'm in favor of implementing a new constitutional guarantee of the right to abortion, with no trimester or weeks-derived prohibitions, no "viability" or other medical preemption. I don't know what SCPL means, tell me? Women preside over the entirety of their bodies and claim ultimate dominion here. That's how it should be; working on it! Say, which part of my post came off as "obvious glee" to you? LOL, not at your expense, but it's just unexpected, and anyways I hate "Glee."

Well, no, I've never seen a serious discussion about the 1st Amendment Argument. I think it could be bundled with a couple more freedom from religion constitutional challenges and shoved up the arse of the supreme court all at once. If this works, we'd be much further along a trajectory to smash at least the religious skeleton in the government body! Corporations may find culture wars a drag on the bottom line. The Far-Right Christian Armageddonaries would migrate, merging with White Power cells in the military, creating a ready army spread everywhere, in place for many attack plans. The Corporations prepare buyoffs of strategic criminal and military assets.

You know, I've been stewing over that reply for a day now, having read back over your other posts - for some reason, I doubted their sincerity. I SORTOF got the impression your position is as you say... perhaps the glee I perceived was due to the moniker and the snark, rather than the other post content.

Suffice it to say, if that's actually your position, we happen to agree, and I apologize for my own snark in that earlier post.
