What are 'flagpole events' and how many of them are they there?
What rock have you been living under? Seriously, your deliberate obtuseness has gotten old. No one is THIS stupid. Google it, Idiot, IF you really have never heard of it, impossible as that is.

Are you going to ask what are Bible Clubs next? Never heard of THOSE, either? Stop lying, stop deflecting, stop playing the fool.

The FACT is that you made a claim, that religion had been "banned" from schools, that was patently false.

We're talking about schools, and a captive audience of students, Witless.
You made a claim, that religion had been "banished" from schools. You were wrong.
Does this infringe on your rights? Some people think it does.

Civil religion is thick in America.“God” is on our money, and in the Pledge of Allegiance, not to mention in the Declaration of Independence. We regularly ask him to bless America at ball games. And every session of the U.S. House and Senate opens with a prayer

No, Witless, that's not what I'm saying. With every post you prove that you don't have the wits for this (or any other) battle.
Again, students are allowed to pray whenever they like, so long as it doesn't disturb the class/learning, or violate anyone's civil rights as per the First Amendment.
Why would I find prayer offensive? I, too, pray.
If a group of students prayed out loud in the classroom before class started that would violate someones civil rights. Yes?

Don't know what a 'flagpole event' is.

Exactly. Our family did, and still does (whoever's at the house in the am :), get up early to have our daily ritual.
The fact is, these people have a need to be SEEN praying (didn't Jesus say they shouldn't do that, something about hypocrisy?), and to force others to watch. And THAT'S what's been "banished" from the schools. Which pisses them off, that they can't DOMINATE anymore, so they pretend they're being persecuted, and lie about prayer/religion being "removed from schools".
Group prayer where everyone must participate, at a specified time such as the morning, lead by the teacher, no longer exists in public schools. However, anyone at all is free to pray on their own at any time. If people like Ink feel that is not enough then that's just too bad. As you say...pray at home before leaving the house. How difficult is that? School is for education and academics.

No I was thinking about the time factor and the school day. I have no problem if children of all religions arrived at school early enough to worship in their own way.
Yet why should they? Children "of all religions" can't "worship in their own way" while still at home? Why should time be given at school for that sort of thing?

Do people burst into churches during Mass and demand time be spent learning Evolution or the the Big Bang Theory?

I think that according to the Constitution, you should be allowed to pray anywhere.
Who says people can't? Any student can pray at any time. Clearly what you're going on about is that classes don't come to a halt so the Christian children can make a show of praying, so it seems.

Praying is the most conveniently portable activity there is, and any student can pray silently at any time.

So what IS your problem?

Well it just took me 25 seconds to say the Lords prayer, not 15 minutes. I think we could afford a short time for each faith.
Twenty five seconds? And you think the schools should take time for 25 second prayers that a person can do on their own at any time?

Would you be infringed upon if the Pope to held a prayer vigil for Syria with tens of thousands of people in the public square of your town like he does in Italy?
Actually yes because tens of thousands of people would descend on my town and I would hate that for sure.

WTF is a "pennis"?

I've never seen a scoop-shaped penis. But then, I've never seen one shaped like a toothbrush either--but it never stopped a guy from asking for a bj either.

Those santerian kids are gonna need a lot of time to sacrifice that goat. On the other hand, it'll be nice that atheist kids will get to sleep in a little.

Let me put it this way...are we, the taxpayers, paying them to pray or do Government business? Let them pray on their own time.
