I agree with this. Teaching children to go against God is wrong. God FORBIDS sex outside marriage and so for adults to tell them HOW to skillfully sin is very immoral.

I wonder if parents give a back up "safe" escape route just in case their teenager sneaks out at night. They wouldn't want their dzughter or son to fall out a second story window and fall dow a tree and get paralized(sp),would they? Kids will be kids after all and they will do as these please.

CINO'S otoh, who pick and choose what they will or won't obey and/or if at all....are the ones that made up that 90% in that poll. Btw..that 90% were those polled, which means that your claim should have read honestly "90% OF THOSE CATHOLICS POLLED USED ARTIFICIAL BIRTH CONTROL".
Jesus said "he who hears you Peter(his vicar on earth -head of his church) hears me." So like he said that we are either WITH him or AGAINST him..the rest he will vomit right out of his mouth.
HIS words, not mine.
In that case, there's a whole lot LESS Catholics in the world. However, I'm content to let God be the judge of that as only He knows who is a "real" Catholic or not.

Did you put your 14yr old daughter on birth control? Or did you give condoms to your sons at age 14 just in case they chose to have sex?

In fact...this question(which In KNOW will go unanswered)is addressed to ALL who are pro contraception for kids.

I forgot that I'm dealing with a half wit so I must dumb things down to your level. 90% of SEXUALLY ACTIVE Catholics utilize artificial methods of birth control.
<quoted text>
There's no need for me to take a class to know that people are going to do what they see fit regardless of what the Church says. Sexual relationships and/or having children are extremely personal things and people will do what they feel is right for their situation regardless if it's a sin or not. And just because their sins are different than yours(collective yours) does not make them any less a Catholic. That's for God to judge and if it really angers Him that people slap on a piece of latex on a penis and only have 2 children, as that's all they can properly afford, then He'll deal with them accordingly in the end.
You are discussing CATHOLICS in name only, Michele. Obviously they aren't practicing their faith if they are going against Christs teaching that gave the head of his church AUTHORITY to make those rules.

HE WHO HEARS YOU PETER, HEARS ME.

It's dishonest of you to make such a claim and try to pass it off as valid.

I spoke in detail about sex with my son. I explained that *I* felt that sex should only be had by mature folks who understand the emotional and physical repercussions of it. I explained the good, the bad and the ugly. I also explained that part of being a mature sexually active person was buying your own contraception and making sure you use it correctly and each and every time.

As far as myself, I never had unplanned sex. If a relationship was at the point where it was going to become sexual, I made sure that condoms and spermicide would be purchased prior to getting down to the nitty gritty and from then on, I'd always make sure contraception was always in the bedroom for when we needed it.

"Knit," you are, without question, the very last poster on this whole thread who ought to be talking about what "Christ" said.
Your behavior on here is so far removed from the teachings of Christ that you're not at all qualified to speak about the message of Christianity, nor are you believed by anyone on here--except the others like yourself--to be a Christian.
You are an angry, rancorous, malevolent, spiteful religious fanatic.
You have more in common with Grand Inquisitor Tomas de Torquemada and Mullah Omar of the Taliban than you do with genuine Christians.
What knit posts IS *Christs* truth.

You may want to shoot the messenger but that messenger is telling it like it is. Open your bible to confirm it if you like.

In other words, your using knit to avoid truth. She has become a skapegoat for you to avoid hearing truth. UNLESS YOU are sinless then you have no right to cast stones. Pssst...from the looks of the proaborts posts on here, you cant.

We are all sinners. Yet the word of God remains truth still.

Interesting huh?.

Every sperm sacred? How can Mother condemn fairly effective "artificial" BC and not oppose an "artificial" pill that by nature of it's use could lead to more pregnancies? What's up with that? Please tell, because frankly it smacks of an outdated exclusive club wherein {wink wink} boys will be boys.
Oh for Petes sake.

Artifical birth controls involves couples having sex((many who are fornicating)) and BLOCKING God from creating a life VIA that act(the way it was intended by him)

Viagara is irrelevent to that.

Naturally sex is important in a marriage. It could lead to pregnancy EVERY time.so what's your point of bashing the RCC for viagra use?

Heck, NFP, when used as a contraceptive, is as "artificial" as any of them. It is used to deliberately avoid pregnancy when it is most likely to occur (goes against nature), and it INCREASES the likelihood of spontaneous abortion for those who are prone to it.
Simply put, Catholics who try to be "good" by using NFP as a contraceptive yet have had repeated miscarriages are actually "aborting" their own pregnancies inadvertently. The church should, in all honesty, recuse itself from something it is woefully ignorant about: human reproductive physiology.
lol

God didn't COMMAND us to have sex on our fertile times every month lala.

Nor did he tell us that we couldn't space children if we needed to.

You harp on something you read regarding this scenerio of a woman miscarrying while using NFP . WHO does that happen to? Lol.

What I DO tell women is that EACH woman has the right to decide for HERSELF, as an individual, whether or not to continue a pregnancy. Whatever she decides, it is HER decision, which no one else has the right to make FOR her.
Not YOUR pregnancy? Not your decision. Simple.
Ok, I'll answer you and bit. Bad choice of "my " words again!! Lol

It's quite simple. I don't know Gods will. I don't know His thoughts. I will not speak on His behalf. I do not know what He has in store for each and every individual come their judgment day. And because of that, I live life as I see fit, I feel the Good Lord has blessed me in many ways and if He disapproves of how I live life then He'll judge me accordingly come my judgment day and I'll acccept whatever judgment He bestows on me.
